For the abolition of work. Yes really, abolish work! Not "reform work" but the destruction of work as a separate field of human activity.
To save the world, we're going to have to stop working! — David Graeber
A strange delusion possesses the working classes of the nations where capitalist civilization holds its sway. ...the love of work... Instead of opposing this mental aberration, the priests, the economists, and the moralists have cast a sacred halo over work. — Paul Lafargue
In communist society, where nobody has one exclusive sphere of activity but each can become accomplished in any branch he wishes, society regulates the general production and thus makes it possible for me to do one thing today and another tomorrow, to hunt in the morning, fish in the afternoon, rear cattle in the evening, criticise after dinner, just as I have a mind, without ever becoming hunter, fisherman, herdsman or critic. — Karl Marx
In the glorification of 'work', in the unwearied talk of the 'blessing of work', I see the same covert idea as in the praise of useful impersonal actions: that of fear of everything individual. — Friedrich Nietzsche
If hard work were such a wonderful thing, surely the rich would have kept it all to themselves. — Lane Kirkland
The bottom line is simple: all of us deserve to make the most of our potential as we see fit, to be the masters of our own destinies. Being forced to sell these things away to survive is tragic and humiliating. We don’t have to live like this. ― CrimethInc

The Project Murmuration Community - A Glimpse into Our World
Philosophy: Embracing the spirit of decentralized cooperation, the Project Murmuration Community thrives on shared intention, adaptability, and harmony. We are a tapestry of individuals, each an authority unto themselves, united by a vision for a cooperative civilization.
Unity in Diversity: Like starlings in flight, we form a diverse yet interconnected community. Our strength lies in the cooperative dance of our members, contributing to the collective well-being without compromising individual autonomy.
Abundance Through Cooperation: Through resource sharing, education, and collaborative projects, we generate abundance within existing systems. Our emphasis on cultural enrichment and personal growth fosters a holistic sense of prosperity.
Adaptability and Resilience: Just as murmurations adapt to changing winds, we navigate life's shifts with grace. Our decentralized structure and cooperative mindset empower us to respond flexibly to evolving circumstances.
Discretion and Vigilance: Plausible deniability shields our community from potential threats. Members maintain discretion, using covert signals and communication to identify allies while guarding against hierarchical formations.
Shared Intentions, Bright Futures: With a focus on shared intention, we shape a world where cooperation triumphs over hierarchy, where innovation and cultural enrichment flourish, and where every member contributes to a self-sustaining and harmonious civilization.
Join us in the flight towards a new era of cooperation and unity. Together, we create a murmuration that echoes through time.

Welcome to Debate A Vegan. This is a place to have civil discussions about ethical veganism and animal rights.
Rules:
- Respect one another. It is okay to attack positions, but ad hominems are not allowed.
- Argue in good faith and don't be quick to assume bad faith. Do not try to win an argument at the cost of being honest.
- Try to use the Socratic method as much as possible: ask questions. This prevents people from feeling personally attacked while encouraging them to think about their position.
- In the likely event that both debate partners are not immediately convinced of the others position after a discussion, agree to disagree. If a person wants to end the debate, so be it. Rule 5 being an exception.
- If someone repeatedly refuses to respond to a certain criticism of their argument, they should either respond or stop making that argument.
These rules may be changed.

News about incarcerated anarchists. Resources for prisoner support.
Prisoner Support and Solidarity
Post news about individual incarcerated people by including an all-caps tag of the [three-letter country code] at the start of the post and the person's name in bold somewhere in the title to make searching the community easier.
Its a good idea to include information about what organizations are sponsoring them, what forms of solidarity they've requested, and how to send them mail.
There's a prisoner database at Prisoner Solidarity and a list from Solidarity International that are useful for looking up people to correspond with.
Zines
Posts about zines and prison literature to share with friends or mail to prisoners should begin with the tag [Zine], and should link to a page with literature in printable document format or the PDF file itself.
Posts using the tag [Info] are reserved for moderators.
Also on Lemmy
News about prisoner support groups should be posted in !anarchism@slrpnk.net

Moderation: Submissions and comments are moderated on a subjective case-by-case basis to facilitate and maintain a healthy, pleasant, and rewarding environment for anyone with a genuine interest in learning, participating, or merely lurking. Just to state some obvious (non-exhaustive set of) behaviours and content we won't have here: bigotry; hate speech; sealioning; strawmen; pseudo-/anti-science; dis-/misinformation. Additional context may be taken into consideration as well.
For those living their own Primal Lifestyle for a stronger mind, body and being.
The Rules
- No harassment/personal attacks against any other person.
- Posts must be related to the primal lifestyle in some way.
- Be civil in comments. You can question data, ask for clarification or evidence. You can provide counter information or point out flaws and explain why they are. You may not make comments that are inflammatory.
- No politics. While a primal lifestyle is embedded in nature, this is not the place for environmental or social commentary.
- No organized religion topics or comments. Our ancestors had spirituality. The animistic beliefs of indigenous people around the world give us insight into what our deeper, primal spirituality was about. The topic of spirituality is certainly part of the lifestyle, but not from any organized world religion.
- Pornographic media or links to pornographic media are not allowed. However, sexuality is certainly part of the mind/body/being equation. Discussions about primal sexuality are permitted.
- Do not upload any media that you do not own the copyright to and do not have the right to make available. When discussing books, you may only link to legal ways to obtain them.
Violation of these rules will result in the content being deleted and you will be offered personal guidance as to what is acceptable. It will be somewhat pretentious and certainly cringey and may cause some minor brain injury if you read it in its entirety. But this is the wage you earn by either thumbing your nose at basic kindness or perhaps violating government laws in such a manner that you could harm others who do not wish to be connected to your willful disregard for legal penalties.
Abolish is to flourish! Against the prison industrial complex and for transformative justice.
See Critical Resistance's definitions below:
The Prison Industrial Complex
The prison industrial complex (PIC) is a term we use to describe the overlapping interests of government and industry that use surveillance, policing, and imprisonment as solutions to economic, social and political problems.
Through its reach and impact, the PIC helps and maintains the authority of people who get their power through racial, economic and other privileges. There are many ways this power is collected and maintained through the PIC, including creating mass media images that keep alive stereotypes of people of color, poor people, queer people, immigrants, youth, and other oppressed communities as criminal, delinquent, or deviant. This power is also maintained by earning huge profits for private companies that deal with prisons and police forces; helping earn political gains for "tough on crime" politicians; increasing the influence of prison guard and police unions; and eliminating social and political dissent by oppressed communities that make demands for self-determination and reorganization of power in the US.
Abolition
PIC abolition is a political vision with the goal of eliminating imprisonment, policing, and surveillance and creating lasting alternatives to punishment and imprisonment.
From where we are now, sometimes we can't really imagine what abolition is going to look like. Abolition isn't just about getting rid of buildings full of cages. It's also about undoing the society we live in because the PIC both feeds on and maintains oppression and inequalities through punishment, violence, and controls millions of people. Because the PIC is not an isolated system, abolition is a broad strategy. An abolitionist vision means that we must build models today that can represent how we want to live in the future. It means developing practical strategies for taking small steps that move us toward making our dreams real and that lead us all to believe that things really could be different. It means living this vision in our daily lives.
Abolition is both a practical organizing tool and a long-term goal.
