Summary by brave leo :

  1. The al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza was the site of a massacre during a two-week siege, resulting in hundreds of deaths and unidentified body parts.

  2. The Israeli army claimed it arrested hundreds of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad members from the hospital, but survivors claim they were civilian government employees.

  3. The employees had gathered at the hospital to receive their salaries, as it was one of the few safe places in the area.

  4. The army was alerted to the gathering by informants, collaborators, and undercover spies.

  5. The army separated people into groups with differently-colored bracelets, executing those suspected of being Hamas or PIJ members.

  6. The hospital staff who refused to evacuate were also executed, and the army killed anyone who resisted.

We've lost. Truth must be told. The inability to admit it encapsulates everything you need to know about Israel's individual and mass psychology. There's a clear, sharp, predictable reality that we should begin to fathom, to process, to understand and to draw conclusions from for the future. It's no fun to admit that we've lost, so we lie to ourselves.

We constantly tell ourselves about an imaginary deadline – April, May, September 1 – and if Hezbollah keeps it up until then, we'll give it a thorough shellacking. The deadline keeps being pushed back. The border region remains empty. The deceit continues. There now seems to be a high probability that for years, anyone driving along the border will be a target. Tel Hai will fall again.

Rafah is the newest bluff that the mouthpieces are plying to fool us and make us think that victory is just moments away. By the time they enter Rafah, the actual event will have lost its significance. There may be an incursion, perhaps a tiny one, sometime – say in May. After that, they'll peddle the next lie, that all we have to do is ________ (fill in the blank), and victory will be on its way. The reality is that the war's aims will not be achieved. Hamas will not be eradicated. The hostages will not be returned through military pressure. Security will not be reestablished.

The more the mouthpieces shout that "we're winning," the clearer it is that we're losing. Lying is their craft. We need to get used to that. Life is less secure than before October 7. The beating we took will sting for years to come. The international ostracism won't go away. And, of course, the dead won't be coming back. Nor will many of the hostages.

On Thursday, the spokeswoman of the Foreign Ministry of the People’s Republic of China, Mao Ning, demonstrated Beijing’s support for the addition of Palestine to the UN. ⠀

The spokeswoman also called for the United Nations not to delay the decision any longer and to take action to stop the genocide and end the bloodshed as soon as possible. ⠀

On the other hand, the United States said it will not accept Palestine’s request until a comprehensive agreement is reached with its ally, Israel.

  • Turkey could play an influential role in the International Lunar Research Station, says space analyst

  • Its national space programme includes building sophisticated satellites and space launch capability and aims to make a hard landing on lunar surface in 2026 ⠀

It aligned with the country’s recent achievements in space, including astronaut Alper Gezeravci’s trip to the International Space Station as part of the Ax-3 commercial human space flight mission ⠀

John Sheldon, co-founding managing partner of the London-based space consulting company AstroAnalytica, said he was not surprised Turkey was interested in joining the ILRS initiative.

Turkish involvement would benefit China given its space ambitions and programmes, with the implication of potential budget and technological contributions, he said on Wednesday. ⠀

The move would also serve Ankara’s geopolitical goals, he said, as its foreign policy was going through a significant transition from being a Western-oriented country to looking increasingly towards the east and south. ⠀

If Turkey’s application is accepted, it would be the 10th nation member of the China and Russian-led moon base project, following Venezuela, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, South Africa, Egypt and Thailand.

Israeli Knesset member Limor Son Har-Melech has said that there are "secret" Israeli plans to settle in Gaza, saying that rapid work is underway in government offices to achieve this

Har-Melech, a far-right MK from the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party, who last year introduced a bill promoting the death penalty for Palestinians, alluded to the plans in a conversation with the Knesset's TV channel on Monday.

A large number of Israeli ministers and Knesset representatives support settlement in Gaza, as well as the expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Last January, at least 12 cabinet ministers and 15 Knesset members participated in a conference attended by thousands in Jerusalem calling for settlement in the Gaza Strip.

The conference was organized by a coalition of settlement organizations and was entitled: "Conference for the Victory of Israel – Settlement Brings Security: Returning to the Gaza Strip and Northern Samaria".
