Trump's campaign co-opted the star’s song “Freedom” just days after accusing Harris of “copying” him.

May Beyoncé sue the orange turd into non-existence.

Honestly, he's trying to get on the bad side of swifties as well... if he keeps being a shit heel maybe we'll have a landslide of an election. I'd love to see him lose at a Mondale or McGovern level to just demonstrate how fucking repulsive the fuck is.

It just might bring back some political sanity.

Pissing off the Swifties and the Beyhive? Why not just go poke a polar bear in the eye?

[–] dogsnest@lemmy.world 24 points 2 months ago

Next thing you know, someone will say he raped!

[–] BestBouclettes@jlai.lu 5 points 2 months ago

Can't wait for them to poke the BTS fans too !

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 49 points 2 months ago (4 children)

It's pretty clear that he has no clue just how much influence they have. I think he's stuck somewhere in the 1980s and thinks in terms of Madonna and Michael Jackson, everyone else never existed.

[–] conciselyverbose@sh.itjust.works 34 points 2 months ago

How many people on the planet do you think could meaningfully impact the attention on the Super Bowl?

Taylor Swift did lol. And not by performing. Literally just because she was dating a player and at the game.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

He knows and that's why he wants it. He wants to be cool too. (And get those voters, because he thinks it works like that.)

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I suspect that Trump doesn't really know who she is. Someone fed him some AI garbage and he jumped on it.

[–] growsomethinggood@reddthat.com 4 points 2 months ago

Normally I'd agree with you, but do we really think the guy tweeting about Kristin Stewart and Rob Pattinson's breakup doesn't know who Taylor Swift is? Now ask him who Charlie XCX or Chappell Roan are, and he definitely wouldn't have a clue.

He must be getting tired of Ted Nugent and Kid Rock. As far as I know those are the two main musical artists aligned with the Trump campaign. Maybe he should just stick with them or maybe he is also saying that their music sucks.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 14 points 2 months ago

Well if he was saying that, he'd be right for a change.

[–] mosiacmango@lemm.ee 7 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

Lee greenwood, of "proud to be an American" fame as well.

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 11 points 2 months ago

Hell is that song on repeat for eternity.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Suing the campaign staff individually could be far more effective. Don't skip trump but instead of suing some nebulous team sue the individuals.

Cool, isn’t this the track that also features Kendrick Lamar? Probably not a big deal, he’s not really known for speaking up publicly when he feels wronged, right?

[–] TheDoozer@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago

"Certified president? Certified..."

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 58 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Conservatives have no imagination. All they do is steal from those that do.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This is it. It describes them perfectly. All they do is imitate the speech of their opponents. Projection and mockery using ideas that are not their own.

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

With one caveat, I've been thinking about since I wrote this. They are VERY inventive when comes to thinking up ways to hurt people.

[–] MehBlah@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Spite, they are full of spite. They will never fail to show how unchristian they are while firmly believing that god only wants what they want.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 52 points 2 months ago

Weird thing to do, guy.

[–] ThePantser@lemmy.world 43 points 2 months ago (3 children)

Should have went with Radiohead Creep. They are such weirdos

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 21 points 2 months ago (1 children)

If you go by the song's full lyrics, even that doesn't fit. The person at least is acknowledging (right or wrong) that they are not worthy or great for the other, and just wishes they could be good enough. There is nowhere near that much self-awareness with Trump and friends.

I could see it in an attack ad. Black and white footage of Trump looking confused and tired - “what the hell am I doing here?”

[–] TheDoozer@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago (2 children)

"I want you to notice.... when I'm not around..."

Cut to Harris smiling and waving with some of her campaign goals on screen

"You're so very special... I wish I was special..."

Cut to Trump with his duck face pose, with various SA accusations, "grab them by the pussy" quotes, and 34 convictions.

"But I'm a creep... I'm a weirdo..."

Cut to Trump looking confused and tired.

"What the hell am I doing here?"

Cut to Trump standing awkwardly near previous presidents, or just a picture of presidents from both parties talking without him in it.

"I don't belong here..."

Cut to sad dejected Trump

"I don't... belong... here."

The lyrics fit, but Thom Yorke's delivery makes Trump way more sympathetic than he deserves, unfortunately.

[–] PsychedSy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 months ago

You leave radiohead out of your sick fantasies.

[–] MinorLaceration@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

I would pay to watch that ad.

[–] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

"...I don't belong here."

[–] draneceusrex@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Don't give the fucking orange-cheeto nazi bastard any ideas. Unless he wants to play Electioneering, and then less than 1% of attendees would understand he's admitting to his grift, stay the fuck away from Radiohead.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 31 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Liar, thief, rapist, pedophile, fraudster, and braggart. Shopping list like that would put anyone else away for a very long time. Maybe after all this political mess is over we can start collecting on that bill

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

You missed: weirdo.

[–] TimLovesTech@badatbeing.social 30 points 2 months ago

I love that they went from the Celine Dion song about the sinking Titanic to straight up copying the Harris intro song. Celine also came out and said the use was unauthorized and laughed the campaign for choosing a song about a sinking ship to represent their campaign.

[–] Hobbes_Dent@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Juvenile shitbags.

[–] PedroMaldonado@lemmy.world 29 points 2 months ago (2 children)

You know....one day that fucktard will be gone from our lives.

[–] AtomicTacoSauce@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

Hopefully sooner rather than later. He CAN'T live that much longer, right? RIGHT?!

[–] Gerudo@lemm.ee 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yes...but his spawn will still be around.

[–] hogunner@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

They don’t have whatever it is that daddy has that gets his cult members riled up; with the possible exception of Ivanka, I expect all his horrid offspring to disappear back into the dark fringes of our society once Trump is gone.

[–] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 26 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Lolbruh. Let’s see what Beyoncé says about this.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 27 points 2 months ago

To the left to the left, all your votes in November to the left to the left

[–] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 26 points 2 months ago (1 children)

this is why the rnc could never do something as cool as last nights dnc roll call; good singers and bands won't let them use their music.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What do you mean? Kid Rock and Ted Nugent. What else do you need?

[–] Hobo@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Friendly reminder that Ted Nugent shit his pants and didn't bathe in order to dodge the draft.

[–] Coelacanth@feddit.nu 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

How long until we officially add her to the list?

[–] SomeoneSomewhere@lemmy.nz 4 points 2 months ago

Damn. Only needs to hit D H K M U X Z to get every letter of the alphabet.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Cue the lawsuits.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

Spin it as trump once again follows the democrats lead.
