Hope this fits here. It's more of a skit than the usual deep-dive video essay but I found it entertaining and critical of some harmful capitalist systems :)

With the election of Donald Trump, many people are asking how they can contribute meaningfully to a new resistance. This video is a high level overview of the answers to the question.

FYI I changed the title because the original was kind of click-baity.

Though the trope of the "Ecological Indian" is indelible in popular culture, history tells a much more complicated story. Featuring cutting edge perspectives rarely seen outside academia and in-depth interviews with indigenous historians, climate scientists, and other experts, this video will dispel the paternalistic myths and reveal Native American ecology in all its ingenious, imperfect glory.

The part relevant to the title begins at 23:00, but the whole thing is great.

This is a very long video, but it's quite information dense, and quite revealing of how the political parties function, fund themselves, and how any left-leaning politician that started to actually enact leftist ideals would be immediately targeted by the Liberal establishment. It's extremely relevant even to this day.

It's an old video, but Jessie can use some extra traffic, so I'm doing my part.
