A leaf comes flying to you
Lies down on your foot
And it brings you from above
Greetings from the Lizzards
Did you get our paper?
We sent it yesterday
Hey, yes, we thought of you
How you are trapped and see that things will be different
Roses, avocado, palm trees, violets, hyacinths
You won't be able to find the entrance to your drive-in anymore
Gray concrete becomes green forest
Lizzard gang raid, pollen everywhere
Flower Group, as well as the Blue Man Group (BMG)
How are our flowers? They flower well (of course)
Leaflets, not paper airplanes
Lizzard Gang, us again, mh, mh
And we throw these seeds off the roof
As the trees grow, leaflets fly again
Resistance in a colorless city
Nature has not lost, all is well, sister
And if they build a concrete jungle
you see us climbing onto the roofs with watering cans
No Balenciaga shirt, no Bottega Veneta shoes
Dad, I am a flower and I stand by it
My terrorist crew replaces the murder weapons with poppies
We're getting more plants into board positions
It's drive-by when we cycle through bigwig avenues
We throw nettle seeds onto your English lawn
We sneak onto the tracks in the shadow of the building
When the train crosses your path, it's covered in ivy, ah
We'll slash the tires on your lawnmower
We want growth, but we are not investors
We want to see green when you look from orbit
We're bringing back the 80s, the ones before Christ
And we throw these seeds off the roof
As the trees grow, leaflets fly again
Resistance in a colorless city
Nature has not lost, all is well, sister
And if they build a concrete jungle
you see us climbing onto the roofs with watering cans
Lizzard Gang, Alligatoah
Love is in the air, Aviator
Keep scattering flowers like a flower child
Come with me, I'll show you where the flowers are
Lizzard Gang, Alligatoah
Love is in the air, Aviator
Keep scattering flowers like a flower child
Come with me, I'll show you where the flowers are
And we throw these seeds off the roof
As the trees grow, leaflets fly again
Resistance in a colorless city
Nature has not lost, all is well, sister
And if they build a concrete jungle
you see us climbing onto the roofs with watering cans
Leaflets (Without Word), Leaflets (Without Word)

In place of warm is green glass,
In place of fire is smoke.
From calender taken the day.
The red sun burning to ashes,
Day burns with it.
The ray falling on the flaming city.

Our hearts require the changes,
Our eyes require the changes,
Into our laugh and our tears,
And into pulse of veins
Changes!
We are waiting for changes.

Our day goes to electric light
And matchbox is empty.
But in the kitchen in blue colour burns the gas.
Cigarettes in hands, cup of tea on the table,
It's simple plan.
And there isn't something else, everything inside of us.

Our hearts require the changes,
Our eyes require the changes,
Into our laugh and our tears,
And into pulse of veins
Changes!
We are waiting for changes.

We can't be proud of wisdom of eyes
And of skilful gestures,
We don't need it to understand each other.
Cigarettes in hands, tea on the table,
It all came back to where it had started
And suddenly we afraid of changing something.

Our hearts require the changes,
Our eyes require the changes,
Into our laugh and our tears,
And into pulse of veins
Changes!
We are waiting for changes.

LowKey - Long Live Palestine (peertube.1312.media)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by Five to c/music

[Intro: Lowkey]
This is for Palestine, Ramallah, West Bank, Gaza
This is for the child that is searching for the answer
I wish I could take your tears and replace them with laughter
Long live Palestine, long live Gaza
Palestine, Ramallah, West Bank, Gaza
This is for the child that is searching for an answer
I wish I could take your tears and replace them with laughter
Long live Palestine, long live Gaza

[Verse 1: Lowkey]
While we listen to tunes, made by ignorant fools
Israel blocked the UN from delivering food
They'll bring in the troops and you won't even glimpse at the news
They make money off the products that we are quick to consume
It's not simply a question of differing views
Forget emotions, this is fact, what I spit is the truth
Makes no difference if you're a Christian or if you're a Jew
They are just people living in different conditions to you
They still die when you bomb their schools, mosques and hospitals
It is not because of rockets, please god can you stop it all
I'm not related to the strangers on the TV
But I relate because those strangers could have been me
Words can never ever explain the raw tragedy
It's not a war they're just murdering more rapidly
We are automatically supporting pure savagery
Imagine how you'd feel if this was your family

[Hook A]
Free my people, long live Palestine
We will never let you go

[Hook B: Lowkey]
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine

[Verse 2: Lowkey]
Palestine remains in my heart forever
We stand for peace, in times of war we shan't surrender
Remember, it didn't start in that dark December
Every coin is a bullet, if you're Mark's and Spencer
And when you're sipping Coca-Cola
That's another pistol in the holster of the soulless soldiers
You say you know about the Zionist lobby
But you put money in their pocket when you're buying their coffee
Talking about revolution, sitting in Starbucks
The fact is that's the type of thinking I can't trust
Let alone even start to respect
Before you talk learn the meaning of that scarf on your neck
Forget Nestlé
Obama promised Israel 30 billion over the next decade
They're trigger happy and they're crazy
Think about that when you're putting Huggies nappies on your baby
[Hook A]
Free my people, long live Palestine
We will never let you go

[Hook B: Lowkey]
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine

[Verse 3: Lowkey]
This is not just a war over stolen land
Why do you think little boys are throwing stones at tanks?
We will never really know how many people are dead
They drop bombs on innocent girls while they sleep in their beds
Don't get offended by facts, just try and listen
Nothing is more anti-Semitic than Zionism
So please don't bring bad vibes when you speak to me
I know there's plenty of Rabbi's that agree with me
It's your choice what you do with this message
Don't get it confused; I view this from a truly human perspective
How many more resolutions have to be violated
How many more children have to be annihilated
Israel is a terror state, they're terrorists that terrorise
I testify, my television televised them telling lies
This is not a war, it is systematic genocide
But whatever they try, Palestine will never die
[Hook A]
Free my people, long live Palestine
We will never let you go

[Hook B: Lowkey]
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine
Free Free Palestine, Free Free Palestine

[Outro: Lowkey]
This is for Palestine, Ramallah, West Bank, Gaza
This is for the child that is searching for the answer
I wish I could take your tears and replace them with laughter
Long live Palestine, long live Gaza
Palestine, Ramallah, West Bank, Gaza
This is for the child that is searching for an answer
I wish I could take your tears and replace them with laughter
Long live Palestine, long live Gaza

Long Live Palestine - Genius

This clever and moving tune is controversial but provoking. It was released as a single in December 2009.

Lowkey is a Muslim of Iraqi descent.

Interesting fact is that Lowkey was detained and interrogated no less than two times by Israeli officials upon arrival at Ben Gurion Intl Airport in Israel.

Lyrics:

There in the black ocean
Where the squall rushed in waves
On the spacious horizon
Our galleon rocked

I swam along the stage for a long time
It's cold in the camp region
Where even rats die
Slow death by starvation

There were forty of us in the hold
Hands chained
Yes, turn the dog
Rotten bitch barks

On the distant horizon
dawn was breaking in the sky
and behind the basement wall
the truth was hidden from us

Through the ship's cracks
Zeki saw the dawn---s---
And as if in the last battle
Everyone perked up as one

The sky is redder than blood
The sea is blacker than night
Eyebrows knit together menacingly
Sunken eyes shine
*
Lightning, thunder and wind
Rise with us, element
Black sea, red sky
Will and Anarchy
Black sea, red sky
Will and Anarchy

So let's swear brothers
With your farewell sigh
Fight for freedom and truth
In this fatal battle
*
The sky is pitch black
The sea is redder than blood
Fuck your world without truth
Life is not sweet without will
Fuck your world without truth
Life is not sweet without will
Giuriam giuriam giustizia!
O libertà o morte!
