they also have a community dedicated to brigading other websites which seems like it should violate TOS if it werent for all the stars on their instance it would be difficult to tell them apart from a MAGA forum
sweet!
spoiler thanks!
are they recursive?
yes!
shouldn't it be "billionaires"?
interesting, I wonder why its so difficult to find threads when googling for them
by the way, how did you make the image pop out when clicked like that?
Nope. Zuck and the other people leading Facebook have absolutely 0 taste and all they know is how to buy or copy competitors.
oh nice i didnt know they had that
yeah it would be really convenient. Peertube lets you comment and subscribe to channels using any ActivityPub account in a really convenient way.
@nutomic@lemmy.ml do you think this will be implemented in lemmy soonish? (does @ing people like this give them a notification?)
Am I the only one who thinks chat apps are making the internet kinda worse by locking up useful information behind a system that can't be indexed\searched through on search engines? I know chatrooms could be odd to have appear on google searches but so many orgs and software projects now use discord etc as their support section so resolving an issue once doesn't help people in the future searching for the solution.
with that being said im glad matrix is improving
EDIT: apparently this is being worked on https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-public-archive thanks @testman@lemmy.ml for linking this. Now they just need to also start working on Threads which im assuming is already on their roadmap
Pixelfed is really great and im excited for the app. The developer really cares about the project and app and listens to users needs especially when it comes to safety. Glad he's the one at the helm of it.
does this work? @dansup@pixelfed.social I think hes also on lemmy @dansup@lemmy.ml
oh wow that did work i wonder if his pixelfed account got notified from @ing him. The fediverse is so impressive
getting your work used by criminals shouldnt make you a criminal though.
except sometimes its not used for purchasing and sometimes used for donations i.e. donations for Ukraine were done through eth and people (including vitalik buterin) used Tornado Cash to donate to people\organizations without it get traced to vitalik and the user\org
I'm surprised there isnt an OpenWRT type OS for printers yet.
At least printers are barely needed anymore
that is not a solution. the main mastodon instance didnt continue to federate with gab etc and tell people to change instances. because the default instance shouldn't federate with pro-fascist instances. We shouldn't federate with them by default and if lemmy.ml is deadset on federating with them because they hide their fascism under a communist flag users should atleast be able to block the instance
