That’s the same smile the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man had as he was destroying Manhattan

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 10 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Destroying Manhattan is probably pretty fun.

"That's it! Nobody steps on a church in my town!"

[–] Twelve20two 10 points 9 months ago

And I shall worship this smiling, plasmic god

[–] neo@feddit.de 10 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Wait, this is not part of THE MASTERPLAN? Now I am worried.

[–] interolivary@beehaw.org 3 points 9 months ago

Who says it's not‽

[–] ivanafterall@kbin.social 21 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (2 children)

I'm a little unnerved. That smile says, "I know something you don't know. I got a biiiig surprise headed your way soon!"

[–] chatokun@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 8 months ago

Hehe, just you wqit, 4.5 billion years from now you're going to be prettty surprised.

Same explosive seemingly endless random energy of uncomprehending propositions that ultimately brings some joy to existence (tho sun is partly to blame in that case).

Caption: I'M GOING TO OBLITERATE YOUR ENTIRE SATELLITE NETWORK!

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

Looks like a fat kid in a candy store.

Or as someone else said, the marshmallow guy in ghost busters.

[–] Anticorp@lemmy.world 12 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I am the great Cornholio! I need smiles for my coronal hole!

[–] myxi@feddit.nl 10 points 8 months ago (1 children)

i hope that doesn't resemble the visuals of any religion's god or something; otherwise, weirdos are going to claim it as proof

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 4 points 8 months ago

I see that you too have played Binding of Isaac.

[–] Tristaniopsis@aussie.zone 10 points 9 months ago

Are they saying that’s NOT the son’s actual face?!?!?

HOW DARE THEY?!?!

[–] asciimage@sh.itjust.works 8 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (2 children)

How many Earths big is one eye of the smiley face?

[–] oxideseven@lemmy.ca 8 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

Usually 1 to 3 or so. The average is about Earth sized, I think these were a bit bigger so almost 2.

This is if we're treating this as like flat circles diameter wise. Volume is a different story.

[–] lurch@sh.itjust.works 7 points 9 months ago

the whole sun is about 109 earths wide (equatorial radius), so idk you have to measure where you think an eye starts and ends

Anyone know what satellite this was taken from? It matches the standard 193Å images from SDO but it doesn't match any images from the past seven days, so I wonder if they have another satellite that isn't orbiting the Earth?

Teletubbies was right all the time.

[–] Bishma@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 9 months ago (2 children)

If you could lose mass as quickly as the sun, you'd smile too.

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

Fbbppbbppbbppt

[–] RandomVideos@programming.dev 2 points 8 months ago

As someone who is underweight, I dont think i would smile if i had to double my mass every 10 nanoseconds to not stop existing
