Not that I’ve seen. Unfortunately it’s pretty tough to keep more niche communities active on Lemmy with the current user base.

Also, does anybody know of a preexisting r/foraging or r/plantID equivalent instance, and if not would want to start one? Not OP but would like to know.

There's a foraging instance over at !foraging@lemmy.world, and a PlantID at !plantid@mander.xyz. Also be sure to check out https://lemmyverse.net, as that place makes it so much easier to find communities of interest ^^
