I'm thinking sodium (salt) and mustard (gas)?

Edit: I'm wrong

[–] LMagicalus@discuss.tchncs.de 39 points 3 months ago (2 children)

My guess was Sodium and Chlorine, because NaCl is table salt

[–] can@sh.itjust.works 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

That makes more sense, thanks.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Because table salt never existed before WWI.

Because before then all food was bland and 2000 years ago Roman soldiers were paid with cocaine.

[–] PugJesus@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

and 2000 years ago Roman soldiers were paid with cocaine.

Goddammit, reject modernity, return to tradition! What a golden age!

Yep. Different word for same element.

Put 80 sheep in a field

Next year, 160 sheep

You can't explain that!

[–] jaybone@lemmy.world 14 points 3 months ago

Sheep comes in, sheep comes out.

I knew I'd find this here! Everything is in order, move along citizens.

[–] PersnickityPenguin@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

You would probably have around 200-220 sheep actually

Don't even get me started on birds; they are not real, and don't even start quoting bird law to prove that they are.^[[1] It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia | Bird Law [01:47 | JUL 23 2020 | FX Networks] | "For all your avian-related legal needs."]

It does not help that the CIA actually did that to a cat.

Yes, they did manage to surgically implant a cat with a microphone and transceiver, no, it was not actually able to listen in on any conversations, when it was deployed on its first mission it ran off and got hit by a car.

[–] Jimbo@yiffit.net 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I already know about this one, but especially when put like this it sounds just so stupid

[–] sp3tr4l@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 months ago

I can neither confirm nor deny whether this was done in the time time frame or by the same staff which were slipping LSD into other agent's coffee without their knowledge

[–] DmMacniel@feddit.org 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Hans Wormhat, is that you?

[–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmy.world -1 points 3 months ago

They have played us for absolute fools.

[–] mjhelto@lemm.ee 12 points 3 months ago

Take tiny rocks. Pass electricity through them. Make a post about the ridiculousness of such a thing using the thing?

Fucking Harry Potter shit!

[–] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 10 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I dislike this because some people are saying that shit as jokes but some people are going to take it seriously. I can already imagine the "farms aren't real" conspiracy nutjobs

[–] sp3tr4l@lemmy.zip 19 points 3 months ago (2 children)

5g/WiFi is bad for your health/mind control technology!

Proceeds to use WiFi and or 5G to upload conspiracy tiktok stating this.

[–] Nomecks@lemmy.ca 14 points 3 months ago

The government is monitoring you!!!

Uploads to Facebook

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

Noob. Get those Ethernet cables.

[–] suction@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Everything, even the most innocuous and obvious jokes, that could be used to make dummies distrust “the official narrative” will be abused by bad actors for their propaganda. It starts with “birds aren’t real” and ends with “the election was stolen, you need to kill those who we tell you did it”. That’s why nowadays I can’t laugh at stuff like this anymore. We’re too far into the post-facts spiral which serves nobody but the fascists.

[–] 5714@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 months ago

Farms-aren't-real people are gonna find out the hard way someday.

[–] Elgenzay@lemmy.ml 9 points 3 months ago
