The screaming, threats, and invective against Canada is being done to whip up hysterical support for Modi & his political party for the upcoming nationwide elections. Modi's policies & corruption have so wrecked India's economy, that he's desperate. And a desperate dictator with violent religious extremeists at his beck & call who alsso fear the secular and progressive opposition will say & do anything to gather public support.

No Indian will be surprised if they try to burn or bomb Canada's embassy and try to spin that to look like victims.

Two months after several Kuki villages were burned down and nine Meitei people were killed in the Saikul subdivision of Manipur’s Kangpokpi district, the villages remain inaccessible for journalists. Amid a storm of claims and counterclaims by Meitei and Kuki groups, reporters are forced to rely on selective leaks from security forces whose credibility has been seriously dented during this conflict. It is possibly the only region in Manipur that mediapersons are being physically prevented from accessing even though there are no official orders.

Across India, experiments to forge the 'Hindu national community' are predicated on the breakage of minoritised Muslims and Christians, and Adivasis and Dalits. What's happening in Manipur is part of a plan operationalised by the Hindu Right decades ago.

4 women from different places, different affiliations and differing faiths ( One is a Muslim, another a Hindu, one a Christian and another from an indigenous tribal faith) travelled to Manipur together on August 3 and together created this report to document what they saw, heard, and felt.

Despite the progressive Constitution giving it nearly all the thrust it needed to become a secular state, it could never become that.
