But did he pay an equal relative amount compared to the working class?

Probably multiple people having different heads

The idea that it's technology centralising the web and not capitalism is laughable.

Yeah this is probably the crux. It tries to fix a problem of capitalism with more capitalism.

But that is only useful if a centralized authority enforces the use of it?

I feel the same way, but I think there must be some cool application, right? RIGHT?

Isn't the internet per definition many independent nets?

Sure there is some concentration of power, like cloudflare is controlling more and more. But that could also happen with web3 (very likely is).

Average is the mean (i.e. sum of all "skill" divided by the amount of programmers)

What they were thinking of is the median (50th percentile = 0.5 quantile), which splits the group in two equal sized groups.

For a bell curve, they are the same values. But think of the example of average incomes: 9 people have an income of 10$, one has an income of 910$. The average income is 100$ ((10*9+910)/10). The median is basically 10 however.

Not only a queer thing, being queer just means that you're likely required to question social norms. But that can of course come from otjer angles too

Maybe even more!

I'm not completely opposed to it, but I think it would need to do better than plant-based meat alternatives in terms of water, energy and land use for me to actually be considerable. But even then, I have started to not like the taste of very meaty meat (I ate ham some time ago on accident and it was ok-ish from a taste point, but I can't imagine eating a steak or something similar, even lab-grown).
