I don't get the social dynamic that would eventually bring the party to elect only the candidates loyal to the party. For real, here in Italy we've got a great issue of nepotism and this reform would probably bring fresh air to a corrupt and inefficient elite

Almost surely not everyone will be able to candidate themselves, some kind of degree or qualitification must be a minimum requrement

Nessun pericolo? Avrei qualche dubbio, ci deve essere qualche stortura in mezzo

It runs fine overall!

I just installed it in this very moment and I'm texting you from the new Fedora KDE Spin installation - Touchpad gestures work ootb, I just find some design choices kinda... uhm, questionable I'd say. Nevertheless, it runs fine overall!

[–] super_user_do@feddit.it 6 points 4 months ago

apparently, Plasma 6 Toucpad Gestures are uncustomizable...

Hello everybody! I was thinking of switching from GNOME to KDE Plasma on my laptop. The main things keeping me from switching are

  • Touchpad Gestures
  • Dynamic Workspaces

Since I have a pretty beefy machine, dynamic workspaces are more an optional than anything but if there's something unnegotiable to me, especially for a laptop experience, is the touchpad experience which must me at least viable. So what has been your experience? Please I need your opinion

Yes, that's why my distro of choice is Linux Mint lmao

[–] super_user_do@feddit.it 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Yup, its not widely used mainly because of the chaotic development, lack of a devcent mobile client and an actual selling point since it is basically a 1:1 recreation of discord

Today my computer science teacher asked a friend of mine to show his screentime statistics as a joke. Bro literally spent an average of +11h A DAY on his phone...

I shot this pic with my phone of the time, which was an Oppo A74.

The pic is unedited. What do you think?

Hello everybody. I'm planning to get my first camera body and lenses but I'm not quite sure on what lensens to get. I think I'll get a LUMIX DMC-GF1 which I can find for fairly cheap prices so I can spend most of the money for some good lenses.

What lenses would you recommend me buying? Is there some kind of "general lenses" I can use without having to switch them according to situations? I'm very new and confused by all the technical terms and stuff

I'll go straight to the point:

  • Piracy is useful to bypass regional frontiers and access to censored content
  • Piracy is helpful to watch content without supporting it if you consider it not worth of it
  • Piracy might be helpful for content preservation and survival
  • Piracy is useful to ACTUALLY evaluate whether to spend money on some digital content or not
  • Piracy is sometimes the only way to actually own DRM-protected content

Hello everybody! I'm a student who wants to start building android apps, but i'm noticing that android development is so structured and overcomplicated to learn that i'm loosing any hope. Could anybody of you explain me the basics? I'm not talking about code, but how to manage the IDE, what do we have to learn etc. Any advice would be highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Which one would you recommend? I'm currently on the default instance but I want to support smaller instances for the sake of decentralization

EDIT: I'm noticing a lot of you guys are telling me about Lemmy instances. That's not what I'm looking for! I'm looking for a Matrix Chat server!

Still, I will take that Lemmy instances in serious consideration. Thanks!

Hello everybody I'm looking for a Dynamic Lights mod to replace LambDynamicLights with since it is not available for 1.20.1 (Fabric)

Do you have any recommendations?

Damn I made a post in the gaming@beehaw.org complaining about Battle Royale games and I'm happy to notice that posts on Lemmy now have actual engagement!

Actually even more than all the posts i've made on reddit since there's no algorithm meant to close us in fucking echo-chambers

I hate battle royale games. Every time I play them i get anxious and nervous, I cant take it anymore

I have played Apex Legends since it came out and I have about 900h between both steam and origin (mostly played during covid).

Since I stopped playing this rage games I feel much better

Tell me what you think of battle royale games in the comments if you want

Hello everyone! I'm looking for people to play Xonotic with. If you're looking for people as well, let's exchange each other's contacts!

Feel free to comment and text me whenever you want! Thanks in advance

We need an international coding subreddit for obvious reasons. I don't want to make it in my Lemmy instance because it's an Italian-only one.
