Even reading about it in translated Russian media it sounded like a Hollywood script. A bad script.

Germany right now is not an independent state, but a company ran by the US

Not sure if I would call Germany a company per se. But the United States is essentially a corporate state and has occupied and to a large extent controlled the progression of Germany since the end of the war, and even more 'wholly' controlled since reunification. Most EU countries are controlled/ran by the US in a similar way. Some have more military, some have more corporate/financial ties. In any case, the respective leaders are still subservient to the US interests, which a layman might describe as "a company ran by the US" in contrast to a truly sovereign state with its own interests put first. It's hardly a leap of logic on that front. Just look at the events of 2022.

To the rest of your comment...they do sound off the wall on those other things.

Internal Dutch contradictions, nothing new to see here. They will fold to the US (or be undermined) as usual. While they tend to have logic, they rarely have the stones to stand up for something unpopular. As the Dutch saying goes "steek je kop niet boven het maaiveld uit" - Don't stick you head above the ground. Someone will get to the minister and this will go away. Unfortunately.

Nah, just a vertebrae or two. They will back out as they always do. Nearly all EU heads of state are willing serfs for the US. The only ones who aren't also have a strong nationalist flair. Nothing good can come of such a combination.

The West said they same exact thing over the recent referenda in the four eastern provinces. Of course neglecting to mention that taking a ballot box around to allow those who are stuck at home (elderly and less-abled) to still participate in the voting requires armed security when in a warzone. Propaganda is as propaganda does...sigh

Aaaaaaand they retracted it with prejudice while throwing their staffers under the bus. What did it take, 36 hours?

Face, meet palm. Can't say I am surprised though.

Indeed, I expressed all of that in longer format. Not sure why you felt the need to summarize?

Given our current worldwide economic situation and the related increase in sex work, I would wager that the amount of people who would still choose sex work if they had their economic needs met and/or other gainful work opportunities (gainful is in reference to the compensation) would be a single digit percentage of the current group.

In any case, as I said above, sex work shouldn’t be criminalized or ostracized.

I agree that sex work shouldn't be criminalized or ostracized, but I'd also like to live in a world where people aren't economically pressured or forced to sell it to survive which is increasingly the case in our current world. The vast increase in sex work lately is literally because of the lack of other gainful work to pay bills and eat. I always think of aftermath of the dissolution of the USSR: How many engineers and scientists and EFFING CHILDREN had to sell themselves sexually to live to see another day? This is not the world I would wish upon anyone.

That font tells me all I need to know about the terrible management.

Not to mention the huge increase in new cold war propaganda and pro-hard drugs content over the last 5ish years. Netflix is a dumpster fire.

Time to go sail the high seas, aye.

Depends on where you live. Not everyone lives where you do.
