It's funny you say that because Volkswagen has been openly protesting increased tariffs on Chinese EVs

But how do you protect a local industry by inflating prices. Let's take GM for example. They're saying it's costing 150k to build each EV and those EVs aren't as good in terms of quality as the Hyundai's, Kia's, Volkswagen's or even Tesla's. The only thing tariffs do for American consumers is force them to pay more money than they should. While for GM, they simply enable them to put out subpar products and have them compete with cheaper and better cars. It's rewarding failure.

I know calling this a technology story is a stretch, so if it's deleted, no hard feelings. But given they're both apps, I popped it here. If you can think of somewhere better, please repost it and tag me.

I'm very nervous about Chopper.

Send it to Hyundai or a Chinese brand, Ford can't be trusted and Toyota are still obsessed with ICE.

And that's the thing nilloc is missing. It was never about how many trucks and Roadsters were delivered, it was about mindshare and cool factor.

Wealth transfer? This is their own money. They don't give a shit about the general public. The thing is, the crown prince is actually thinking ahead. The oil in Saudi Arabia won't last and they need new forms of revenue going forward. Even if they sink everything they have into establishing that, they'll have a long-term future of doing it like the peons, i.e. tourism. But even then, they were planning to spend just enough to get everything off the ground and were hoping outside investment would drive the rest.

The problem is, people are smart. They understand that in such a kingdom, no matter what you invest, you're still at the whims of the monarchy, so where they wanted 100 billion in investments, they've only got 17 billion.

Rightfully so, they're scaling back and planning to deliver some things to show that what they're doing isn't just a pipe dream. Especially given that they have sports tournaments coming up.

What is shit is that this will be built with slave labour. So it mars even the fact that they're building sustainable, walkable cities and desalination plants that will be the blueprint for the rest of the world; that's being far too conservative. We don't have time, so we need big and bold steps like this.

Regarding the Hydrofoil sand ships, I don't even think there's a miniature prototype. But if they can pull it off, it will be a step into the future. Doubt it will happen though.

There's banks without overdraft fees in Australia?

Kia and Volkswagen are massively eating away at the Tesla share, because under Musk's leadership, Tesla doesn't have a Unique Selling Point any more. Other networks are catching up in terms of charging speed and even then Tesla sell access. Their other USP was FSD and Musk isn't investing enough in it. All this while his products are taking a hit due to his public image. What's crazy though, if he delivered the new Roadster or the Truck, he would've increased market-share.

Just add a function so when you change your profile, it also pulls all records that match md5(userid, password) and then update them records too.

Though I'm convinced the overarching logic is correct, this is not my wheelhouse, so I'm probably wrong.

Dammit! Okay, cancel the salt idea. How about just a simple md5() and then it should remain a static value right?

This would be cool

Just used this for the first time. I know it's dumb and small, but copying my whole setup and moving it to a new quicker SD without any hassle was gorgeous. I truly adore my Raspberry Pi.

This is an old article, but I've just seen this story, so sharing it.

Ford using a scatter gun approach and then winter why they're not successful.

This is hilarious because the sentiment (look at me trying not to use provocative language) regarding China has meant there's been an outwardly view that they only care about polluting and yet, not only are they producing the bulk of the world's solar panels, they're actually implementing green energy policies at a rapid rate. Funny thing is, this isn't even a pro-China thing, it's a pro-planet thing. We absolutely need our biggest nations to lead the way in replacing coal and the likes with renewables. I will happily celebrate the small wins along the way.

Stop voting for dickheads please!

This whole case is a circus.
