Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Still waiting for a Focus or Escort EV. Not everything needs to be an expensive SUV.

I thought I remembered them mentioning a Fiesta EV, but could be wrong.

I don't have any specific citation here, but...

I think Ford is really struggling to get EV manufacturing scaled and are losing tons of cash on each EV sold. They need the production volume large enough to make the drivetrain and essential systems cheap.

They've found it more difficult than anticipated and still cant afford to go cheap yet, so they try and make the vehicle fancy to juatify a higher price tag

Keep in mind that EVs have far fewer parts and many of the parts they do have are the same as ICE vehicles. If Ford can’t figure out how to make a cheaper car with less moving parts, they’re in trouble.
