This was my immediate thought. It ticks all the boxes.

I apologize; I didn't mean to be hostile. I can see how my comment was a bit gruff, and I'm sorry.

Endeavor is the one to go for if you want Arch with a graphical installer. It gives you a fairly pure Arch system without a lot of extra stuff, and I like the purple theme.

Are you being serious?

That's a mosquito. They bite and drain blood. Their saliva causes itching, redness, and mild swelling in most humans.

They're also disease carriers. They carry zika, west nile, and malaria, which has killed more people in human history than all wars put together.

So yeah. Foe.

I feel like it's more customizable than Mate, and more easy to customize, and better looking out of the box. And that's coming from a Gnome fan.

Who's talking about Debian? You mentioned Endeavor, which is Arch with a pretty installer and a purple theme.

So you use the arch installer script:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Archinstall

And then install the Plasma Desktop package:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/KDE

That's what I'd do anyway. But if you want a graphical installer, then Endeavor has a KDE option in the installer. It's a pretty nice looking default, but KDE is super customizable. That's kinda its whole thing.

If you want a full DE that leans in on customization, go KDE. It's clean, looks great, and is customizable as all holy hell.

As for distros, I personally stopped with Arch based distros as anything other than a novelty. If you want Arch, use Arch. The Arch installer script makes it easy. It's not as pretty as Calamares, but it's better.

This is horrifying and should absolutely be shared... but I feel like OP may have missed the point of this community. Any chance you wanna maybe remove this post and put it somewhere else?

On Windows, Paint(dot)net. On Linux, Pinta!

Oh, look, it's my surprised face again:

I feel like the 2020s will be remembered as the Decade of Enshitification.

I think it's supposed to imply none of your business...

I will cheerfully shit on Amazon every day, which is why shit articles like this piss me off. Amazon does plenty of real harm, but articles like this give this make people think "well, if this is their workplace mistreatment, then it's not that bad."

It is that bad, but this isn't an example of that. This could happen anywhere, to anyone, even the most ethical company/co-op/whatever on the planet. They handled it well. So let's go after them for actual shit instead.
