Its still amazing how easy it is to use, you can get a desktop environment running in a couple of minutes and apk is insanely fast and easy

Would have probably tried as my main PC distro if NVIDIA drivers would work on it :(

I feel like the design of this fits better with the gnome desktop than gnome system monitor

The message UI of K9 was changed and I think the app already implemented the auto-setup of accounts from thunderbird, otherwise its still the same app

The album prices are pretty high sometimes and many artists are not on bandcamp

its p2p download from other users, if you want to share your library you should probably use a VPN. You dont have to share your library but its kind of frowned upon to not do it.

Isnt really what I asked for but looks great as a general streaming service alternative

That seems like the suggestions that best fits what I wanted, I have just installed simple scrobbler and set up a listenbrainz account. I also kind of like how listenbrainz handles data sharing, as they are very explicit about how they use your listening data.

Now I just have to wait to get some suggestions :)

How do you come by with just 300 searches per month? I tested the trial period and used up the 100 searches in just a couple of days

I dont really think that music production is performance limited though

Some stuff that wasn't mentioned yet and should be on either fdroid or izzy:

  • Muzei (wallpaper switcher)

  • Earth view for Muzei

  • Retro Music

  • Simple Time Tracker (used to use it to track my work hours)

  • Energize (most feature-packed food tracker on fdroid)

  • GymRoutines (Workout tracker)

  • Material Files (file manager + seeing network shares)

  • Wireguard (allows me to connect to my local network and see my NAS in material files)

  • MJ Pdf (mostly because its simple but has printing and text copying)

Great how basically the only argument for this from the consumer side is AI-stuff, which perfectly works already and even has foss versions which can run locally
