Not always bedtime but the stopwatch to start 60 Minutes was a weekly reminder that the party is over and school is imminent.

I was at a Virginia Tech football game this season. They let everyone in, all while the metal detectors are flashing non-stop. A school that had a mass shooting not all that long ago where over 30 people died doesn't give a shit what you bring into that stadium. But hey, they've got snipers above the press box.

I worked 12 hour night shifts for a couple years. It was fine for me but falling asleep is sort of my superpower. You may want to get some blackout shades if your room gets to bright in the morning. Also, keeping your body on the night shift time on your days off can help with sleeping.

I do not trust Americans to "do their own research". I've seen how that has gone in the past. Too many Americans do their own research while scrolling Facebook from the toilet.

Steam is so easy to enter game launch parameters. Why is Heroic so difficult? I'm having a terrible time playing Bioshock remastered, the wait times for saving, hacking, and purchases at the Gatherers Gardens are anywhere from 2-5 minutes. I found a parameter that should help but I have no idea if I'm entering it in the right location.

how do I work around invasive Bermuda grass? (lemmy.ml)
 

I have a lawn fescue and Bermuda grass. I'd like go overseed with clover this fall but I'm concerned the Bermuda is going to choke anything else out. It isn't native here and it gets into everything. Killing my lawn first isn't really an option as the Bermuda will creep back in. How can I move toward a more sustainable yard with this awful Bermuda going wild?

I've been a good boy for 5 years or so but the seas call to me. Are streaming sites the way to go now or is torrenting still a better bet for mainstream movies and tv? I'd imagine all of my accounts have been deleted on those sites so I'd be starting over.

I'm not able to find this answer in old posts. Can we install games from the Microsoft store? I just claimed a free copy of Fallout 76 on PC from Prime Gaming and the MS store is telling me I need the XBOX app which sounds really weird to me.
