Jerseys and gilets from Spexcel

Bibs from YKYWBIKE

Ride Now TPU tubes are bomb proof

Radar Tail Light and heart rate monitor from Magene (although I haven't tried the Garmin ones)

OG-Evkin Drop Bars

Things I wouldn't recommend

Glasses from Kapvoe (shit quality and risky in a crash)

OG-Evkin seat post (quality is good, but the way the seat attaches is prone to seize and difficult to adjust)

It's Switzerland. While I don't know the answer to your question, having grown up there and in the states, I wanted to compare the cereal industries and how they tried to promote a healthier lifestyle. Then this happened: (from Wikipedia)

An early proponent of the germ theory of disease, Kellogg was well ahead of his time in relating intestinal flora and the presence of bacteria in the intestines to health and disease. The sanitarium approached treatment in a holistic manner, actively promoting vegetarianism, nutrition, the use of enemas to clear "intestinal flora", exercise, sun-bathing, and hydrotherapy, as well as the abstention from smoking tobacco, drinking alcoholic beverages, and sexual activity. Kellogg dedicated the last 30 years of his life to promoting eugenics and segregation.

So they made the immigration minister the housing minister and now he wants to cut immigration? When all you have is a hammer...

The scary part is how many people just don't seem to care. Hey, did you know you can get cheap bullshit on Temu? The idea that you'll one day have to compete for your job with someone with an implant is scary, not for them because they signed up at betterhelp.com to have a professional talk them off a ledge once a week. Hopefully they won't be much of a threat because of all the single people in their area. Also, boner pills anyone?

Here's my vague understanding of why this happens with melatonin; if someone can correct me I'll have learned something.

Taking supplements your body naturally produces, like melatonin, creatine, and some weight loss products in large doses makes your body turn off its own production. You're also training your body to process and live with more than it needs, and considering it always wants to reach homeostasis, you end up needing more of it to have the same effect (like many drugs).

Back in the 90's a lot of people on diet pills ended up gaining a lot of weight back once they stopped taking the pill because their bodies took a long time to produce the same chemicals naturally, having essentially been overdosed for a while.

Yes but it's risky. The poop on the 4th day may make you have to retile your bathroom.

Shortening shifter cable (sh.itjust.works)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by hypnotoad@sh.itjust.works to c/bikewrench@lemmy.world

I've turned my Poseidon X into more of a road bike and swapped a 46cm bar for a much more comfortable 40cm. The microshift groupset has an externally routed shifter cable that was purposefully long to accommodate a bar bag, but it's now almost hitting my left hand. If I were to cut the cable shorter and feed it back into the derailleur, would I need to index my gears or can I just adjust the tightness with my barrel adjuster and be on my way?
