I remember installing a very very early release of Debian back in the mid 90s on a 486. I have had a Debian system of some sort ever since then.

The $700 is just for immediate critical needs. It is not the entire FEMA payout to fire victims for the disaster. Thus the article is misleading propaganda.

"According to administration, 300 FEMA workers are currently on the ground and the agency has provided approximately 50,000 meals, 75,000 liters of water, 5,000 cots and 10,000 blankets.
To further assist survivors, FEMA has activated a transitional sheltering assistance program to help displaced residents find a hotel or motel, as well as a "critical needs" program to provide $700 to eligible people for food, water and other supplies."

The basque people would love their land to be this large once again.

RFKJ is not a Democrat. His funding is all from MAGA billionaire Trumpers. His media presence is all on far-right sources. His message is conspiratorial Q-anon nonsense. Now he is lockstep with Republican anti-abortion policy. His whole purpose is to undermine any legitimate Democratic party candidacy.

So this is "Austrailia Broadcasting Corporation", not the ABC (American broadcasting Company) which I am familiar with in the US. I presume they share no more than an acronym.

I think it has nothing to do with children. It is about requiring ID registration for online services so that identities can be tracked. Every time authoritarians want to push another mechanism of control it's always "about the children".

I prefer Debian.

Stress causes the body to release high levels of cortisol, which can have various harmful effects throughout the body if at high levels persistently. For example, I have Central Serous Retinopathy due to high cortisol, and have been advised by my Ophthalmologist to reduce my level of stress.

I have always preferred Debian unstable with an XFCE desktop.

When I think of "neo-liberals", I think of corporate Democrats. They serve their own set of wealthy oligarchs, and do minimal lip service to the needs of normal people. They are in the center. The right has gone completely off the spectrum into an authoritarian fascist nightmare. There are many billionaire oligarchs who fund them and create their media propaganda. I'm progressive. I suppose some think that is the "left", but it's really just wanting government policy which prioritizes the needs of working people.

Pure P2P doesn't scale well, especially for content which is generated by a few, and watched by many.
