Every problem can be solved by adding another layer of abstraction.

I read about it once and thought why couldn't I give back at least as much, even without religious justification. Perhaps ironically in this context, part of the amount goes to my local atheist charity.

I thank Pope Gregory XIII who introduced calendar according to which today is Friday.

Well, Ubuntu pioneered this thing! Fortunately it was short lived and you could opt out.

A good and user-friendly distro nevertheless. Who knows if it will ever "win" on the desktop, but I am sure the more mainstream it becomes, the more hate it will get!

Hopefully it will get ~~potato~~ performance mode later on for that smooth 60fps, like AC:Valhalla or Cyberpunk did.

I like that profile view in lemmy does not show the total "score". So when someone downvotes your comment, they downvote just that, the comment, not you. Which I think is good for mental health.

Speaking for myself, I feel that possibility of getting downvotes makes me more careful to not invoke negative emotions in others and instead keep more positive tone. In the long run that may be good for everyone's mental health as well!
