I tried and bricked my S10+

Soft bricked, can probably recover but have not got the time to bring it back.

Is Orca that resource intensive? I'm running it in a container with KasmVNC and have never really checked out the resource usage. Admittedly it's on one of my local servers in another room. I guess it's how large your projects are too.

Edit: maybe it's just my small projects

Oh free lithium batteries. I've got a decent sized stash of cells salvaged from disposables. Some of their cases I want to use as project boxes for esp devices.

Will be sad once the supply dries up for us electronics folks.

It was even ported to the original Xbox. I remember the total games file size being incredibly small - compared to most other titles on that system.

Valetudo exists for local only operation of robot vacuums. Not for the point and click among our modern society, but if someone was paranoid enough they'd probably make it happen.

Sorry if that sounds like a jab, not intended 😅

Many "smart" devices can be modified, blocked or just not connected in the first place. I prefer to waste hours of my life figuring out extravagant ways to break these devices, only sometimes enabling local only functions.

Ehhhh, mental outlaw made a video on just that topic a few hours ago.

TLDW: people didn't update packages for illegal tings, glowys rolled up.

Plenty of nix'd config, nix-colors theming for most applications. I've only been using linux for around 6 months, NixOS has really clicked with me.

My config might be sub-optimal in areas, but its gone through some heavy changes since its inception.
