Seems controversial around these parts. But I cannot for the life of me support a lot of the authoritarian governments that claim to be leftist, especially the DPRK. I've read all the literature (finally) and I can't believe any leftist would support them. I understand the importance of an authoritarian government during times of revolution, but the countries that employ it almost always feel anti-leftist and contradictory to leftist theory. I'm only recently this far left and I may just need more exposure. But even by their own metrics I don't believe them to be leftist and they only use those labels to further indoctrinate people. Cuba is the only country I will support and even then, they've made inherently pro-capitalist and pro-imperialist decisions that make me feel that they too are moving into the position of being an authoritarian capitalist country with a mask of leftist bastardization.

Fedora and Arch right now. Fedora is what I main and Arch is just for ricing and testing things. Been trying out VanillaOS recently and I really like it. I use Void and Gentoo on occasion when I feel like tinkering.
Soulseek users are gonna hate me 😭
i mostly mean that im okay with holding more than one sides views, ill happily hold communist, socialist, and capitalist views at once while holding spiritual and aspiritual beliefs. it might be eclectic but it makes the most sense to me. and im not so evangelical in disregarding capitalism or communism entirely, so a hybrid of socialism and capitalism or socialism and communism seem equally merited to me, but again thats just opinion and we are both biased in that.
Not at all, I'm just trying to get to understand communism better without interacting with extremely biased and very agenda oriented sources like Lenin or Mao. And prolewiki barely had any sources on most of their pages and when they did they often had encyclopedias. I hate the ivory tower but I really try to get good sources. Right now I'm basically becoming a socialist because it appeals to me, I'm working class and growing up liberals were very hostile to me while I hated the right. So I've gradually become a centrist that gravitates towards libertarian socialism with a slight amount of liberalism and conservatism just because I think being three dimensional in thought is a positive. I dislike anarchism though and I'm starting to look more towards Fabianism.
This is an ignorant and entitled take. You pass right wing ideology as deserving of special treatment and you indignantly pass conservatism as a minority voice needing to be heard. The federated community doesn't have algorithmic preferential treatment nor does it need to imitate Reddit's worst qualities because your ideology in unpopular. It's a community's responsibility to make itself appealing to the masses if it wants acceptance. You want a place for right wing discourse on a platform dominated by capital L Leftists. I personally would hate to see a fascist gateway community form on such a small platform like this. While you have the freedom to think and speak, you don't have the right to preferential treatment or your voice to be heard or liked.
