then DISCUSS it. That’s what we do here.

Just like I told you on your other account, I don't believe you understand how communities work.

Each community has rules, you have to follow those rules, otherwise your posts or comments will be removed.

Locking this post since I do not believe it is genuine, and is the same thing you did on your other account.

If they would add the ability to limit comments based on something like account age, or upvotes etc, it would be awesome.

Unfortunately the Lemmy dev team hasn't made that option quite yet, would be an awesome feature to request though!

We welcome the feedback.

This user however, reminds me of another user that was posting questions that they felt were revolutionary, but were not legitimate questions. Looking through their comments and posts, I believe this is the same user under another account.

The post that was removed (by me) that they are upset about is:

1000 years from now physics is forgotten and all that remains is the legend of two hobbits, Charm and Spin, and their quest for the Higgyboson. At this point, is physics true?

Greetings everyone,

We wanted to take a moment and let everyone know about the !business@lemmy.world community on Lemmy.World which hasn't gained much traction. Additionally, we've noticed occasional complaints about Business-related news being posted in the Technology community. To address this, we want to encourage our community members to engage with the Business community.

While we'll still permit Technology-related business news here, unless it becomes overly repetitive, we kindly ask that you consider cross-posting such content to the Business community. This will help foster a more focused discussion environment in both communities.

We've interacted with the mod team of the Business community, and they seem like a dedicated and welcoming group, much like the rest of us here on Lemmy. If you're interested, we encourage you to check out their community and show them some support!

Let's continue to build a thriving and inclusive ecosystem across all our communities on Lemmy.World!

Hey no worries, appreciate it!

[-] L3s@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Yeah, I saw some reports from both accounts yesterday that made it obvious that's their backup account. Also, not the first time they've done this, and they also spam report comments when they get angry.

Hey OP, how can I help? We are here for you

[-] L3s@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

I didn't avoid your point, I actually answered it: rules are rules and exist for a reason, if you break a communities rules they will remove your post or comment.

To put it more simply for you, no, it is not immoral - especially when you look at the context of your question.

[-] L3s@lemmy.world 14 points 2 months ago

Just to be transparent, I'm the mod who removed your posts.

We get a lot of rule breaking posts between the multiple communities I moderate, some of them get upvoted heavily and still get removed.

For example, someone posted a scientific post that had nothing to do with technology in /c/Technology@lemmy.world, it had a decent amount of upvotes and comments. It was still removed for rule 2 of that community, as it was off topic for that community and there are ones that exists for that content.

Sorry that it upset you, but if I could give you advise: just follow the community rules and you won't have these issues

[-] L3s@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago

Heyo! Yes I can work on that, currently have a lot of work projects going on, but once things settle down.

[-] L3s@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Sorry, too many arguments.

[-] L3s@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Heyo! Please reformat your title to follow rule #1

Thanks

Please stop reporting this as "not tech related, rule 2", we welcome the feedback.

Our stance has been, if it's in a gray area of "tech" such as tech business related, and users upvote it: that must be what the majority wants.

We will be discussing this more, as it seems some people want strictly tech related content and none of the gray area content.

Unity Meme Post (lemmy.world)
submitted 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) by L3s@lemmy.world to c/technology@lemmy.world

Seems that a lot of us have some funny Unity memes, which have been getting removed due to Rule 7.

Making this post and pinning it for everyone to share their Unity memes about this whole fiasco, please only comment the memes here, if you make a post with one it will be removed.

Hey everyone!

We have decided to do a banner and logo contest, here is how to participate:

  1. Any submission must be commented below in its own thread, that way they are easy for everyone to find. Any top level comments that are not a submission will be removed, commenting on submissions thread is allowed.
  2. Everyone can vote on the ones listed below to help the decision, but the mods will pick their favorites and make a separate post for the community to vote on.
  3. Obviously the design must be tech/news related, all art forms welcome, and please no NSFW. You can submit just a banner, or just a logo, or both if you wish!
  4. Winner will get sidebar acknowledgement and bragging rights. If multiple designs are liked by the community, we will most likely cycle threw a few different banners/logos throughout the year and give each credit on the sidebar.
  5. Anything Elon Musk will be launched by Space-X directly into the sun at the speed of light.
  6. Be excellent to each other!

Any questions can be messaged to either @enu@lemm.ee or myself!
