I no longer Steal from Nature

You are diseased in understanding and religion.
Come to me, that you may hear something of sound truth.
Do not unjustly eat fish the water has given up,
And do not desire as food the flesh of slaughtered animals,
Or the white milk of mothers who intended its pure draught
for their young, not noble ladies.
And do not grieve the unsuspecting birds by taking eggs;
for injustice is the worst of crimes.
And spare the honey which the bees get industriously
from the flowers of fragrant plants;
For they did not store it that it might belong to others,
Nor did they gather it for bounty and gifts.
I washed my hands of all this; and wish that I
Perceived my way before my hair went gray!

Not to mention luxury coffee shops being the most useless thing on planet earth. honestly how many people can tell the difference in a blind taste test between starbucks and freeze dried instant coffee?

[Disclaimer: I'm a coffee snob]

Most people who go to Starbucks would probably not be able to tell if they're drinking specialty coffee or grocery store coffee, my impression is that they don't go there to get great coffee, but out of convenience. Chains like Starbucks are the fast food equivalent in the coffee world. I wouldn't go to a Starbucks myself, if I'm on a long trip I love stopping by a good coffee shop where they serve specialty coffee. "Luxury coffee shops" (local coffee shops) have a place in our society, in my opinion international coffee shop chains do not.

This a problem of sites being incentivised to get clicks rather than providing accurate and useful data, so every study gets an article with a click-bait title. Studies show all kinds of things, and unfortunately they get lots of publicity from sites that sensationalize the findings even if the study paper do a sober analysis of their findings.

Here's a decent study if anyone's interested: https://munin.uit.no/handle/10037/20825

Not gonna buy from Nestlé. I'll keep buying vegan Kex from Sweden when I get a craving for that kind of snack. I assume most other countries will also have alternatives to KitKat

Hopefully I did the math right, if this-> =(E2*C2)/(B2*12)*100 is wrong as a formula for calculating energy cost as a percentage of net income, please disregard this data.

The link you sent didn't have data for all the countries in my original list, so I supplemented with 2014 data (in yellow cells) from worldpopulationreview.com/...

Decided to do spreadsheets to make this easily readable for everyone, sorted by cost of a MWh/average net income:

Norway is a social democracy, not socialist.
