I think we need to get over the issue of stock assets. Not everyone is artists and games take years to make. Games with stock assets that have put time and love into mechanics shouldn't be punished. AI is a different discussion entirely of course.

Stock assets do not mean asset flip. Asset flips are such because the game and systems are primitive with very little effort taken.

Try cassette beasts. Definitely scratches that itch. A great indie game.

I take personal offense to that. How do you not?

Which one? I saw calendar yesterday.

https://github.com/FossifyOrg/Keyboard It's there in the org, not sure when it gets released to F-droid, but I think they're just going 1 by 1, so hopefully shouldn't be long.

How many things does 1 person want to stream at once?

[–] CrypticCoffee@lemmy.ml 4 points 9 months ago

I mean moderation doesn't neccesarily support that. You can be tolerant but remove stuff that is far in the fringes. Lemmy has quite a mix. World hates left wing, ml is left wing. Ee is pretty open.

It doesn't actually need that much moderation. I moderate a pretty sizeable community and mod log is pretty empty. You don't need to be an expert neither. These are excuses, not reasons.

If you see regular active trusted people, reach out to them about modding when it grows.

If you're on the country code, you open yourself up to risk. ml has been a risk before.

Your headline is misleading though. Taliban didn't kill it. Admin did.

You tell those people who left good jobs and now need this to put food on their table and pay the bills. You have the empathy of a CEO.

Good luck. It's a stressful time. I hope you get yourself sorted in whatever you plan to do.

But the interim CEO led the redundancies. The common factor in all of this is the board. The CEO just does what the board are pushing for and sign off on. Ricky is bad and not a good man by any stretch of the imagination, but he was less bad 2/4/6 years ago for a bit. He's just the hatchet (yes) man doing the business of the big shareholders.

The next CEO will likely be following the same play book. Without a change of board, it's still an evil company. Ricky was just the fall guy that they bin off so naive folk buy into the fact it's "all fixed, and back to old Unity".

The great advise right now, is stay away from Unity. You have Godot, Armory3d, and hell, even Epic run Unreal Engine is better.
