Because it does the things well gamers want. They want to play together, and talk together (voice chat), and stream showing them bossing or doing something IG. It does those things very well. If matrix gets seemless voice calling and video/screensharing at the click of the button, they would find it easier to make inroads.

It also has sensible defaults for managing users etc. and it's effortless.

It's not about features, it's just about getting the basics right.

It depends on whether you rent or own. You rent a flat and you cannot do what you want. Unfortunately, with games, most law is set up so you rent them and are buying a licence to play them within the conditions set out. It sucks, but that is how it is set up.

Matrix is the best choice we have. Embrace it or make better because we can only use what is out there.

It really isn't. It inflates content from smaller communities.

New stuff in bigger communities won't have as high a ranking.

Have you not checked scaled sort? It's been around months and prioritises content in smaller communities over larger communities. Tie that with subscribed and you get exactly what is needed.

You didn't even need to read the article. That information was in the preview...

Looks like the generation of decision makers may give a toss now. Planet being screwed wasn't enough, but less wine or more expensive wine and they gonna panic.

So you generalise anyone that uses an instance. I don't think the problem is Lemmy.ml ...

I don't think you even see the irony in your post.

Care to explain...

I'm not a tankie, and I haven't been banned.

You sure you're not confused with lemmygrad?

This is pretty useful. Is there anything for UK based folk?
