I have a CBF125 2012 and CBR600F 1997 - never had any serious issue with any of these. That's just my experience. I have a civic 2017 and no issue there either but its on the newer end of the spectrum so not exactly a good example

Such a beautiful bike, especially the neo cafe racer trim. Went to view it at my local Honda dealership and I was really impressed. Maybe one day

Heard that before - about Toyotas being madly reliable. Something about getting a Prius, driving it till yer dead and being burried in one :D

Can't fault me for wanting something hmmmm flashier? You know, like a classy car :D

A hybrid between two cats. I've been told when getting him its a half Bengal half snow Bengal but I've been told by ppl on the internet its most likely a SIC. I don't really care because hes the best in the world

Hi y'all,

I have an elderly lady living next door and she doesn't really seem to have anyone checking on her (I have never seen anyone coming to hers) apart from me and my partner every once in a while (usually she will pop by asking if we need anything and vice versa).

I'm a little bit paranoid about what would happen if she fell/collapsed in her apartment and couldn't call for help. It doesn't help that there is a dog living with her (I'm not gonna paint the picture, but I'm sure you heard the stories...).

I want to suggest to her to have some sort of SOS button that she could carry around the flat and, if something happens, she could press it to call for help.

I found this on aliexpress but it has it's own proprietary android app that I don't think would work on my GrapheneOS phone. Local, non-aliexpress options are pretty expensive and/or are subscription based.

Do you know of any alternative that wouldn't break a bank and would have more open source friendly system in place?

EDIT: I was thinking about a cheap wireless door bell (she would have the button - door bell would be in our flat). The problem is when we are away from home.

Perhaps a door bell with simple phone push notifications (my partner has a regular android phone so she could receive those)? Any product suggestions?

My little girl was dying after her first season after being adopted from a local super market. Now she came back to life - stronger than ever!

The only issue is, she is no longer "little" and she's not letting out any flowers. I'm pretty sure you are supposed to trim and cut roses, but I'm not sure how.

Could anyone help us out?

Today I found out that it's actually a lot easier to contribute to Open Street Map than I thought. There are some serious gaps in house addresses in my area and I was painstakingly using the built in browser editor in the browser.

But, you can use a FOSS app (available on fdroid) called StreetComplete that makes it a lot easier to help out filling in the gaps in your local map data.

It's really fun - kind of like Pokémon Go but you are actually making an impact 😁

Is it possible to get a nice looking overlay? Like this one: https://www.ecosia.org/map?q=lunga&coordinates=56.488247,-6.422436&placeName=Isle%20of%20Lunga

Ecosia Maps are using OpenStreetMap but the definition is so much more pleasant to look at. OpenStreetMap or Organic Maps are a lot more...technical.

Hi there,

I wanted to improve my native language dictionary (there is a lot of words missing) in OpenBoard app and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with it?

This is how it's described on their Github page, but I never used github so I'm not even sure where to start.

Dictionary creation

To create or update a dictionary for your language, you can use this tool. You will need a wordlist, as described here. The output .dict file must be put in res/raw, and its wordlist in dictionaries.

For your dictionary to be merged into OpenBoard, you must provide the wordlist you used, as well as its license if any.

Also, is this project still supported? It seems to be the best FOSS keyboard for me, but it seems the last update was a year ago.

Thanks
