Three-ish years. We live in different countries, and covid happened.

The irony of making fun of "leftists" for believing this shit is not lost on "leftists". Most of us don't believe it. However, most Trump supporters absolutely HAVE to believe this exact style of bullshit reporting because Trump wouldn't appeal to anyone WITHOUT them believing similar Fox style propoganda.

I think what's happening is people are angry that they have been consistently correct about their fear of Trump, yet Trumpers pretend we were wrong even when the reality is right in front of you now. Like, literally, all of the reasons we have warned about Trump are coming true.

Every single argument against Trump goes the same way. Trump supporters deny the claim. Then, when it looks like its coming true, they re-frame it with desperate speculation until it actually comes true. Then they pretend that's what they all wanted in the first place. Literally nobody seems to know what he's doing, least of all him! He just makes wild claims about what he's going to do about all the people he hates and lets far right fundamentalist Christians do the driving.

"Haha...the libs are angry about it...we won!...lets keep marching towards the spinning blades patriots!"

I mean, seriously. The lies! So many lies. So many PROVEN right in front of you lies? So many incoherent rants. Threats of violence. Multiple different "genres" of crimes. Venomous hatred against minorities and other human fucking beings. Is it supposed to be some kind of tacitcal political genius against people who don't get it? Why? Why don't any of you ever explain why? Wouldn't it make sense to be comprehensible to liberals too? Is he pretending to be an obnoxious, evil, racist, hateful, demented, bully...or not? He sure does a remarkable impersonation of one. He never breaks the spell!

"I will deliberately make people think I'm a horrific bigot and trick them into thinking im an idiot by using childish insults and nicknames. My supporters will know otherwise because when you become a supporter, I mail you the key to my secrets...and that's why liberals are stupid and my supporters are so smart"

Not much of a tactic is it?

"Childish and rude".

Kinda reminds me of someone.

It was a joke. I originally wrote Spanish Inquisition, but thought it was funnier to call it the Reddit Inquisition. Sorry for my buttholiness.

You may be right, but it was a quick and dirty way of making my point. I didn't expect the Reddit Inquisition to be here yet.

Doing the least amount possible to keep a job puts pressure on coworkers to take up the slack. I work in an ER, not an office. When someone is in the bathroom texting, more than they are out on the floor helping its shitty, yes.

My coworker has that kind of sense of humor where he always says the obvious joke you're hoping nobody will make. Then he laughs, and for some reason, everyone else does.

Also, whenever he helps someone and they thank him, he says, "That will be 10 dollars," and then laughs about his joke.

The reason i hate it is this: He's a lazy, quiet-quitting asshole who everyone likes. I, on the other hand, work my butt off. I appreciate a witty, clever sense of humor. However, I'm socially awkward, so nobody likes me!

Is the word "wrong" spelled "wrong" or "rongue"?

I defend myself with a tiger and feed it highschool kids. Statistically, I'm an insignificant lunatic.

I cope pretty well with it. Some people get really depressed when it happens to them. Im okay if there's noise. At night I listen to podcasts and use a fan next to my bed. At work it's less noticeable, although fir some reason people think it's fine to be mean if a coworker can't hear very well.

For me I had intermittent ringing for a year or two. It would always go away quickly. Then, one morning, I woke up with this much louder chirping sound that's always there.

I was a metal head. Too many gigs and loud earbuds.

Im the same as you. In my 50's. My hearing is severely damaged, and my right ear whistles like a thousand sex-crazed crickets 24/7.

I too was permabanned for inciting violence. I suggested Princess Leia should strangle Trump with her chain. Is this a new thing maybe? The story is common.

I like Lemmy. It reminds me of early reddit. For me, it's a shame to watch it slowly bring more of the dumb junk I didn't like into the mix. It's inevitable, I guess, but the memes and reddit culture are bleeding out of their containers and into the other sections. Im seeing more balanced views and it's kind of nice to read intelligent posts from people I disagree with rather than the mudslinging from common reddit views. There's safety in numbers, and people know what is reddit-popular to say. Opposing views are buried there.
