Yeah, but Helldivers 2 CEO described the challenges of live service games sounds a lot less interesting gotta pump those articles
Helldivers 2 CEO Breaks Ground with Innovative Metaphor of "Changing the Engines While the Plane is in Flight!"
Love the game but holy hell is it buggy. Most nights there are at least two drops I can't complete due to something game breaking.
I hate the invincible bush. Every other bush has invisible walls which stops your shots. You can't shoot through them with any type of weapon. Explosive is the only way to remove the invincible shot absorbing magic bush. Hate it ಠ_ಠ
In other news I have a great time dispensing liberty and run in only the occasional problem. Nothing major or gamebreaking and usually it's less buggy for me than any Bethesda title.
That and it fucks with the Spear
Did it get worse over the last week, or is this something that comes up in high level (7+) difficulties?
I have just barely gotten into the high level content and it has been smooth so far, but I know there is a lot less complexity going on in the lower level content.
I'm with you... after the first week or two, I've encountered literally 0 major bugs. A little thing here or there, but nothing that prevents me from completing a mission or picking up loot
There was a week where me and my friends were crashing after every mission, but we got all the medals, samples, and XP so it was a bit annoying byt just meant an extra minute reloading. Think that was the worst for us.
Some people do have it worse though, and i'm hoping for more bug fixes so things play the way they are supposed to.
The worst was the week where they added accuracy to the arc weapons so after a long mission, usually right at extraction, the people using arc weapons would have accuracy go over an overflow and crash the game for everyone.
I just didn't play at all until that was patched after a while.
People got so fucking angry being told they couldn't bring arc weapons because it would literally crash the fucking game. No dude, I'm not telling you how to play, I'm telling you what's going to ruin the entire run for everyone involved, including yourself.
I'm around level 5 still mostly, I only joined fairly recently. I've only had 1 full ctd so far but I've been stuck in geometry countless times, one time the extraction console wouldn't activate, one time a geometry glitch prevented us from boarding the escape ship. Sometimes my weapons won't switch and when I go to iron sights it'll just show my empty hands.
It's a testament to how great the game is that I still can't wait to play more though haha

This one's super annoying, but you can usually fix it by switching weapons, and toggling between first-person and third-person while ADS'ing, then switching back to the other weapon and toggling viewpoints again. But it still sucks, because it completely takes you out of the fight when it happens.
Most of my issues are glitching through the ground from explosions or prone diving into terrain objects and getting stuck that way.
There is the occasional crash too, but the most annoying ones are where you get stuck and have to hope you can kill yourself with grenades to get out.
I watched a teammate running about 200ft in the sky above me last night!
PS5 here and I rarely have issues.
I must be lucky. This most recent update has pretty much resolved me getting dropped from games. But I have some other gameplay bugs that are annoying but not game breaking.
The only thing that really bothers me are the crashes.
Weird. I have like three crashes total in 66 hours since I bought the game in late march. Did you clear the shader cache, update drivers and all that jazz?
There are thousands of people experiencing crashes all the time. The studio knows and are fixing it. Doing these unhelpful-forum-like recommendations does nothing.
The volume of hackers is getting crazy. Joining games where its bleeding obvious the character that says its level 90 is actually barely double digits, hell ive even seen one leave and then rejoin as a level 13….
Also if they want to try and reduce toxicity they need to introduce a cheer button. DRG got that down pat, bar wouldnt hurt either
Every game needs a battle cry button!
Yes! Whats weird is HD2 has every other emote but the one that would match it so well!
“For democracy!” “For freedom!”
I needs it.
I love this game it's great fun, but it needs groups of friends unfortunately.
My friends have moved away to other games and now if I play on my own with random it's just not as much fun
I find if I play on the higher difficulties I tend to end up in very fun groups.
If I play on more relaxed difficulties, I usually have random people running across the map aggroing everything and then throwing their orbital barrage on top of me on the console doing the objective before setting themselves on fire somehow without even using any fire stratagems.
I only play on helldiver, it's the most fun imo. When i played on impossible, i mostly played with people who thought they were better than they are.
I love this game, but damn the crashes are annoying. I think if the game never crashed i had like 10 levels more.
I had a terrible experience playing with random matchmaking but asking in discord if anyone wants to play or hop on a voice channel made the experience much better and cut out the trolls.
Have played a couple hundred hours as squad of 4. 1 guy had lots of crashing the first few weeks, replaced his ram and no crashing. The rest of us have had a few issues here and there. Biggest complaint is waiting for medals, but that seems to be resolved.
couple hundred hours
