Republicans are NOT Nazis! They just whole heartedly support people who want to exterminate the Jews!

[–] slowd0wn@kbin.social 10 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Pretty sure they only hate Jewish immigrants. There seems to be a lot of crossover between American anti-semites and people who want Israel to carpet bomb Gaza

[–] TechyDad@lemmy.world 44 points 11 months ago (2 children)

As an American Jew: They hate all Jews. They see us as having no loyalty to our country (their evidence being: we're Jews - and that's it). They see us as controlling the world's markets and all the other anti-semitic tropes that have circulated for thousands of years.

When it comes to Israel, they approve of it for four main reasons:

  1. Among the evangelicals, they think Jews running Israel is the first step towards Jesus returning. The second step is a huge attack on Israel and then Jesus would return and toss all the Jews into hell. This "support for Israel" is just delayed anti-semitism. They're willing to put up with Jews there because they think they'll benefit (be taken to heaven) while Jews will suffer.

  2. Among the white supremacist groups, Israel is seen as a convenient dumping grounds for American Jews. If they ever get their wet dream of expelling all us "traitorous Jews," they'll just ship us all off to Israel. Nevermind that most of us don't trace our ancestry to Israel for thousands of years. Nevermind that we've been American citizens for generations. We're Jews so they would declare that Israel is where we "belong" and ship us off to rid "their country" of Jews.

  3. Among the bigots (which includes white supremacists), there is hatred for Muslims as well. Israel opposes Muslim countries/groups. Therefore, they see Israel as a temporary... Well, not really an ally as much as a tool. They will "support" Israel and help them kill Muslims. If Israelis get slaughtered, the bigots don't care. After all, those are likely just Jews over there. This ignores that Israelis can be Jewish, Christian, or even Muslim - but since when have bigots cared about distinctions when a stereotype will suffice?

  4. Among the politicians, it gives them talking points. Not only with the evangelicals and white supremacists, but with the Jewish community. The politicians can say that they "support Israel" and some Jews (like my parents) get fooled into thinking that this means they support Jews in America. Nope. They are more than willing to give Israel support, but Jews at home are "globalist traitors who must be dealt with as soon as possible." Not that most politicians would say this part out loud. They'd use dogwhistles, but there's a growing segment that doesn't bother with dogwhistles.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Very well said. My entire life I've been treated as a foreigner in my own country.

And I am sure it is not just Jews by any means. I'm sure Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, etc. also get this treatment. Basically, anyone non-Christian can't possibly be an American, even if your family has been here for four generations.

I’m a straight white guy, raised as a fundy, not one any more, they wouldn’t come for my kind first, but they would come for me eventually if I didn’t die first or “repent from sinful ways”

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

Oh! You dotted some lines for me there! Especially "Jews at home" vs. "Jews elsewhere".

Some of that I had connected, much I had not. Thanks!

[–] BeanGoblin@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 11 months ago

It's partially A: they hate Muslims even more, and B: Israel is key to their apocalyptic doomsday prophecy.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 15 points 11 months ago

As a native-born Jew, trust me, they hate us too.

[–] Diplomjodler@feddit.de 44 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Can we stop calling those fucks "white nationalists" and other euphemisms? They're Nazis. Plain and simple.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 24 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (1 children)

I believe they prefer to be called "conservatives" now.

[–] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 24 points 11 months ago

If they can dead name, we can too.

[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 9 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

They aren’t Nazis unless they try to take over the Alsace region of France. Otherwise they are just Sparkling Fascists

[–] lolcatnip@reddthat.com 5 points 11 months ago

I don't see it as a euphemism.

[–] NegativeLookBehind@kbin.social 38 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Fuentes

Will someone please tell him

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 10 points 11 months ago

These goofballs have been delusional for decades. Imperial Japan linked arms with Nazis, but suppose the Axis won? Those leopards would be eating some faces, that is for sure, as there were people in both countries (and probably still are) that had very particular ideas about just what constituted the "superior race".

And yeah, same for places like Spain and Italy. Does anyone seriously think the Nazis would settle for anyone that was not Aryan being left alive?

So it is no wonder that dipshits like Fuentes and that dumbass from the Proud Boys and that gay British guy (I forget his name now) exist. They think they are one of the "good ones". If their awful movement ever gains any power, you can be sure that they'll have their own Night of the Long Knives, and some of the people with non-Aryan backgrounds and non-cishet will be some of the first victims.

[–] Nacktmull@lemm.ee 25 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (2 children)

I hate trump and I hate Fuentes but the headline suggesting that Fuentes said it at Trumps Dinner is cheap clickbait, which I also hate.

[–] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 13 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

That's interesting. I didn't read that into it. I assumed that stuff being said during such a dinner don't come out because we'd have heard a lot more of Trump's quotes if it did

ATTENTION!

For all those confused how people who hate Jewish people so much can support Israel.

They hate any one who looks Arab even more, unless they got oil to sell.

Ik it makes no sense, no surprises there.

[–] ShittyBeatlesFCPres@lemmy.world 13 points 11 months ago

And just part of white nationalism is that they want Jews to leave their country and move to Israel. (I’m not sure what they think about white Europeans on Native American lands. They probably came up with some bullshit that lets them live in Oklahoma but I avoid people like that. Someone else will have to ask.)

[–] Ashyr@sh.itjust.works 6 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Honestly, my perception of the antisemite/Zionist crossover has always been that is there's a Jewish state then there's a place for Jews to go that isn't here.

I don't know though, that may be entirely too rational for a worldview founded on ignorance-fueled emotions.

[–] formergijoe@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

Let me introduce you to THE MADAGASCAR PLAN! TLDR-The Nazis planned on sending all the Jews to Madagascar so they'd get out of Europe. They thought to send them to Palestine first, but the British controlled that and the guy planning it didn't want the Jews too close to Europe.

[–] denshirenji@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

Its really more religious from my understanding. The idea that Jesus will come back sometime after the jewish temple gets rebuilt, I think, is what is being spread. Isreal has to be a sovereign nation for the end of the world to kick off.

[–] flipht@kbin.social 2 points 11 months ago

This was a large part of the discussion in Europe at the end of WW2.

Germany wasn't the only country trying to decide an answer to "the Jewish question." Some advocates may have had good intentions, but many just didn't want to open their borders to Jewish refugees, and the idea of Israel was a convenient way for them to wash their hands of it.

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 20 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Here's a link of Nick Fuentes talking about how women are inferior despite never being in a relationship: https://youtu.be/eaz55gyJ8CQ

but don't worry, he's had conversations with some. So he knows his stuff /s

[–] sawdustprophet@midwest.social 9 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Here he is talking about how he wants to marry a 16 year old when he's 30, because he likes the milk "right from the tap."

https://youtu.be/DbfkMXkuOJk

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 2 points 11 months ago

"now we're cooking with gas" is how happy he is with that age gap when he's 40.

You know, there's a lot of weird people out there with weird views. It just blows my mind that someone like this gets the attention they do.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

What a creepy weirdo. No wonder the cons lap it up. It's the party of creepy weirdos.

What really puzzles me is how the Qtarded "save the children" crap gets any traction even with the dumbest people in the base - given that so many of their prominent members are such obvious pedos: donnie diapers, Fuentes, Gaetz, etc...

[–] spider@lemmy.nz 20 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (1 children)

per·fid·i·ous

adjective

deceitful and untrustworthy

See: Jared Kushner

Edit: Always found it odd that you never hear a peep from him about his father-in-law playing footsie with these people.

[–] chaogomu@kbin.social 4 points 11 months ago (2 children)

I knew the word Perfidious from its best use, Perfidious Albion.

That's one use of the word that was fucking earned. Don't trust the word of the British Empire.

It's also the only use that should really exist anymore. Anyone who uses perfidious in a sentence that is not criticizing the British needs to just stop. And if they're a Nazi jackass, they need to take a thesaurus and slam it repeatedly against their own head until they stop being a Nazi.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 14 points 11 months ago

Oh good, I haven't been threatened with death in at least a couple of days.

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 10 points 11 months ago

Nick Fuentes. Surely they wouldn’t throw him in the gas chamber.

[–] ArugulaZ@kbin.social 10 points 11 months ago

This son of a bitch has been talking a lot of shit lately. Of course, when he says "this group must be murdered," and "that group must be murdered," he'll have his kill-billy followers do the job for him while he huddles in the corner pissing his pants. At least Richard Spencer, for all his grotesqueness, could take a punch. This... thing can't even do that.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 8 points 11 months ago

In all seriousness, it seems like there should be a limit to free speech regarding the likes of Fuentes. Meaning, if you are calling for the murder of millions [1] of people in America, why should that be protected speech? [1] - Depending on what counts as "xtian" in the view of this xtian nationalist thug, it could be anywhere from 1/3 of the population (unaffiliated + Jewish, Buddhist, etc.) to much, much higher if you exclude all but white evangelicals - 86.4% of the country. He's calling for murder on an unbelievable scale - 112+ million to 293+ million people.

[–] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

I'm sure Elise Stefanki is calling on Donald Trump to resign from his campaign.

[–] WaxedWookie@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It's news that open Nazi, Nick Fuentes wants to finish the job Hitler couldn't because he had his ass handed to him and shot himself in the face?

Was the surprise that Fuentes is a Nazi (unlikely), or that Nazis want to finish the Holocaust (more unlikely).

I'm all for shining a spotlight on Trump courting Nazis, but this is dumb framing.

[–] JeffKerman1999@sopuli.xyz 4 points 11 months ago (1 children)

His surname puts him in the "to be incinerated" category, I wonder why so many idiots don't get it. I mean not really since other idiots pay to listen to this

[–] WaxedWookie@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

He's "one of the good ones" for now - much like right-wingers beginning to turn on Shapiro for being an open Jew, it's not sustainable.

As dark as the situation is, I'll take some satisfaction from the leopards eating their faces.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

It's like they learned nothing from history. Did they not notice the purges among the Nazis? Maybe he should look into the Night of the Long Knives. Or maybe groups like "Jews for Hitler". Yes, that was a real thing. It did not end well. Per Wikipedia: "The organization was founded by Max Naumann, who was sent to a concentration camp after the rise of Hitler. "

You don't say.

[–] LEDZeppelin@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Where is Elies Stefanik and her AnTiSEmTism crusade?

[–] spider@lemmy.nz 5 points 11 months ago

She's busy ignoring this.

[–] jonne@infosec.pub 2 points 11 months ago

Wouldn't surprise me if even the ADL ignored this in favour of calling Jewish Voice for Peace anti-Semitic.

[–] cashews_best_nut@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago (1 children)

He can't say "perfidious" unless it's in reference to the Brits and "Albion".

[–] SCB@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

Or "Eldar."

Edit: for the unenlightened rabble who might consider consorting with xenos

Perfidious Eldar! They had the stars in their grasp and now are left to sift the dust of their once fabulous realm. For all their intellect and mysticism they could not contain the beast within them, nor tame the wild monsters of the Shadow. Why should we pay them any heed?

  • INQUISITOR GRÜNDWALD, ORDO XENOS
[–] chitak166@lemmy.world 5 points 11 months ago

But people keep telling me that Trump loves Israel.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

I guess this asshole wants to execute more than 1/3 of the country?

Just who the fuck does he think he is, anyway? What makes xtians so fucking special in a secular nation?

[–] autotldr@lemmings.world 1 points 11 months ago

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Nick Fuentes, the hate leader who dined at Mar-a-Lago last year with Donald Trump and Kanye West, is calling for a genocide of “perfidious Jews” and other non-Christians.

Fuentes hosts an annual America First Political Action Conference — which he holds as far-right counter-programming to the more conventional CPAC.

Fuentes’ event has attracted congressional speakers including Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.).

This week, Jones was reinstated to the X platform by Elon Musk — despite the massive legal judgment against him for lying about the Sandy Hook massacre.

They have launched a #FreeNick hashtag, and one acolyte has tweeted that he’s holding a hunger strike until Fuentes gets his account back.

In October, Fuentes was caught meeting with influential state Republican leaders in Fort Worth.
