There's still no exact date for season eight other than "2025," but that portal gun's gonna be in use for years to come now.

Episodes have been hit and miss, but I don't think they are that bad yet.

I don't know. I thought the last season was pretty wangsty. Like, we are not supposed to care about Rick.

Rick is supposed to do whatever the fuck he wants to do and to entertain himself and we are supposed to get entertainment from watching him do it and watching everyone else get dragged along into his shenanigans.

Sad mopey Rick with feelings and character development is not what the show is about.

And I get it, they are the creators of the show, they can do whatever the fuck they want to do with it and my input doesn't matter for shit. But I'm probably not the only person that feels this way and I hope they come out of the spiral that they are in and make the show an escapist fantasy for people who hate the world again rather than a deep and terrifying introspective look at the psychological trauma of being the smartest man in the world who is stuck in a never-ending revolving dick joke.

Suicide Spaghetti and Valhalla were great!

I assume you're talking about Rick Prime. They opened up a story arc and they closed it. They didn't drag it out into a whole season like other shows would have done. It was a single episode and then moved on.

I enjoyed the juxtaposition to Rick Potion #9 when they show them switching universes and Morty is lost. And then they don't dwell on that for rick, he just moves forward because it's just another fucked up adventure in a long series of adventures.

I think the way it was handled frees the show from being bogged down by all the various pieces of that story arc while also giving back story on how he became the Rickest Rick.

But also...

To Be Fair, You Have To Have a Very High IQ to Understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head....

Wasn't the series approved for like 80 episodes not too long ago?

70 - 70 episodes in 2018:

We've only had 40 episodes since then, so that renewal alone comes up to Season 10.

I haven't watched it in years. Multiverse got old after a while. Is the new voice actor any good?

The latest season with the new voice actors was for me the best season so far

Why can't things just flipping end, I mean...I know, but still

I remember a copypasta about this show but I don't think I've seen the show itself. That must indicate something.
