I think people just don't tell him about stuff like this, because they don't respect him, and want to make fun of him. Remember when he walked all the way from a bathroom into Air Force One with toilet paper stuck to his shoe and nobody told him?
Never got over how the republicans successfully managed to goalpost move following international law on assylum applicants, into being a campaign issue.
