Filling your lawn with native plants and making it friendlier to fireflies will go a lot further than buying fireflies to live in an area where they have no habitat to reproduce. If you ~~build~~ rewild it, they will come!

While you might not want to completely eliminate your lawn, !nolawns@slrpnk.net is a good resource for ideas on how to rework your lawn to benefit your local wildlife.

I remember there were so many around when I was a kid. I barely see any of them now. It's honestly one of the most depressing things
