I’ve thought about this a little, but.., how much good would it be for me to purchase a swarm or a swarms every now and then… to grow the population in my Westend/Westside (Cascade) neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia?

Filling your lawn with native plants and making it friendlier to fireflies will go a lot further than buying fireflies to live in an area where they have no habitat to reproduce. If you ~~build~~ rewild it, they will come!

While you might not want to completely eliminate your lawn, !nolawns@slrpnk.net is a good resource for ideas on how to rework your lawn to benefit your local wildlife.
