“ Tesla displayed its Optimus humanoid inside a clear box, motionless next to its cars.”

I’m just amazed it wasn’t a dancer in spandex again

What even is the purpose of humanoid robots? Is there even a use case for it?

Creating mass unemployment.

Running cost of a robot is far lower than the running cost of a human.

That's a terrible idea.

Are we meant to be taxing excel and automated telephone exchanges, what about the printing press or solar panels?

All those have lower running costs than industries they replaced that had more workers.

Wait, you mean that person in a silver jumpsuit is competing against robots?

Why would they name their robot after the second best autobot?

Everyone knows Ultra Magnus is the best one.

I think this humanoid robot will be Elon's 'Sinclair C5" moment.

Dude I'd totally ride a C5 in 2024, that thing looks like it's a perfect alternative to those scooters that are everywhere. At least now you could use lithium batteries and beefier motors instead of the garbage they had back then.

Just get a recumbent e-bike and slap some paneling around it.

With all the SUVs out there these days, I'd be worried about riding anything that low to the ground in 2024.

Humanoid? The requirements were clear... maximize the number of guns. How many guns are required to pick apples from a tree? Well if you got 10 apples, surely 10 guns right?
