Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Must be he was talking more votes from Trump than from Biden and so his money got cut off.

[–] Hegar@fedia.io 44 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Not just his money, but his campaign promo material came from the Russians as well. Almost certainly his campaign strategy as well.

[–] anarchrist@lemmy.dbzer0.com 22 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

Oh yeah gotta lock down that campaign strategy of *checks notes* being utterly deranged.

[–] 5C5C5C@programming.dev 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It worked for Trump, why not for others? 🤷‍♂️

[–] barsquid@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

They don't make nicknames for their opponents like a schoolyard bully. Donald has somehow tapped into the power of Homeric epithets while still being barely literate.

Also I think Donald is the first to be as overtly racist as he is. That is the motivating factor for most of his cultists.

As soon as the Russians realized ol' worm-brain was hurting their main candidate rather than the Dems as planned, of course they decided to withdraw him from anywhere that matters.

I hope his socials announce this with more photos taken on Russian streets.

Stein and West spam will tick back up asap.

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 21 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Even more than it is already? Urgh! There are 2 or 3 'individuals' on Lemmy who already incessantly post pro-Stein / Anti-Harris shit.

[–] Zipitydew@sh.itjust.works 21 points 2 months ago

Will increase as the election approaches. Unless the community and mods stay on top of shutting down obvious trolls.

[–] barsquid@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

I am a very far left lefty leftist, that's why this election season I will cast my vote exactly the way the furthest right radicals want me to.

[–] nkat2112@sh.itjust.works 42 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This is not a person whose endorsement you would ever want.

[–] teft@lemmy.world 35 points 2 months ago

It's actually the worm that is endorsing Trump. Bobby is just along for the ride like Linguini in Ratatouille.

He is staying on ballots on most states, except for the 10 swing states.

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

task failed successfully? or did it successfully fail?

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 2 months ago

Time to do some guerrilla campaigning.

[–] AbouBenAdhem@lemmy.world 21 points 2 months ago

ending his presidential hopes

It’s not like dropping out materially affects his chance of winning.

If you cover his forehead and squint your eyes he still looks like a piece of shit

[–] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

🌎👨‍🚀🔫👨‍🚀

[–] Rapidcreek@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago

The worm has turned!!!!!!!

[–] blarth@thelemmy.club 10 points 2 months ago

Presidential hopes? More like wishes on a penny thrown into a fountain.

[–] ZeroCool 9 points 2 months ago

Sounds like Trump found Giuliani 2.0. I’d be willing to bet tens of dollar that this clown is going to be heavily involved in the legal maneuvering to steal the election should Trump lose in November.

[–] harrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 months ago

Now he will have more time to tend his brain worm garden.

[–] wheeldawg@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 months ago

Yeah, THAT ended his hopes. Tell me, how do you end that which never existed? Or that which could even be pretended to exist?

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Ok what's the worm have to say?

[–] silence7 2 points 2 months ago
[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 3 points 2 months ago

Ham fisted Russian candidate failed from the outset

[–] carl_dungeon@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Back to eating dog I guess

[–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He is removing himself from 10 swing states.

Posted his Live speech currently ongoing.

He will stay on other states.

[–] Podunk@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Not suprised. His entire campaign has been as a spoiler. A fairly transparent one at that. His dad fought mobsters. He sucks up to them.

If only his dad and uncle could see him now... so much for the kennedy legacy.
