Is this and mtg card? If not it should be.
Art Shareπ¨
This is a friendly community for everyone who wants to share their art with the world! Everyone is welcomed π¨
Rules
AI Art: While we appreciate AI generated art, there are more appropriate communities to post that type of art to. Please keep posts to non-AI generated art only. This rule includes AI art that was then manually manipulated (e.g. drawing on top of something generated by AI).
Nudity: Nudity is and has always been a part of art, but it may be something that some users don't wish to see or cannot view in certain circumstances (e.g. at work). If your work contains nudity, please mark it as NSFW. Work that contains nudity that is not marked as NSFW will be taken down. As long as the NSFW tag is used, we welcome nude subject matter.
Spam: Please do not spam this community. Self promotion is fine if you just want people to be aware of your work, but blatant attempts at spam will result in the past being removed and possibly a ban. If you aren't sure if what you are posting is spam, please contact the moderator first.
Conduct: Be nice, and don't be a jerk. Constructive criticism is OK, but don't be mean. Encouragement is always welcomed.
Thank you!! I loved the way those cards looked, so I appreciate the comparison!
Thanks for sharing your work! Keep it up.
If I made a 3d model based on this drawing as blender practice, Would you be ok with me posting a gif of it?
Sure, I'm interested in what you'll come up with! I'd like to see the result when you're finished though! π
Hey, I tried to upload it to Lemmy but I could not figure it out so it had to be via reddit.

The lighting is nowhere near where I want it to be but I kind of ran out of time because I try to limit how much time I spend on exercises that aren't original. I did however learn a bunch of new stuff like eye rigging.
THAT IS AMAZING OMGGGGGGG!! π I love how you did the eyes, I love how one eye is always looking toward the camera like "I'm watching you!" and how you did the little angels coming out of the flame. It really does look like something out a videogame. Thank you for using my funny dodecahedron angel as a reference! Incredible work!
Thank you! The eyes and the rings are the parts I was am most happy with. I'm going to use the workflow I learned to do some original art with creepy eyes moving around.
I specifically like your art because everyone thinks its AI lol. Its just so otherworldly and absurd looking, i love it.
Thank you so much! I love drawing biblically accurate angels since they're so surreal and also so fun to draw! ποΈ
I've seen quite a bit of your art now and I'm always impressed. From my understanding, you don't use 3d tools for this? Absolutely insane if true and shows a level of understanding perspective I'll only ever be able to admire
Thank you so much!! That means a ton to me π I use Paint Tool SAI (+ Photoshop CS2 sometimes for some specific effects which SAI cannot do) and typically spend a lot of time messing around with the sketch until it looks right. I really love it when 2D art has that 3D look, and that's one of the things I aim to achieve with my style!
Very good!
Thanks Van! π
The fact that the arms and the rings are not connected to the main body is kinda annoying, that thing could never be an actual living creature.
Unless the eye ring is something like clothes. Is it held in place with magnets?
They are held together with the divine might of our lord. That's way more powerful than magnets.
Do you get equally annoyed at giants that can not possibly be both that size and humanoid? It's all magic my dude.
Nooooo! What about square cube law? How could there be giants without built-in oxygen concentrator packs on their backs?
