I'm using v0.27.1 downloaded from GitHub. I threw Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love as an example URL. Thought it might ease the pain of YT mucking up NP again.

I've noticed something new: videos play, then suddenly stop. When I try to restart them, NewPipe says there's an error. This happens a lot and it started 2 or 3 days after the latest version defeated Google's latest shenanigans. I can see it on my Android TV box and on my cellphone, and it happens with NewPipeX too, but not with Grayjay or Freetube on the desktop.

It certainly feels like Google is deliberately creating random errors for NewPipe users.

You're probably experiencing the "59 second bug", which has been around for a couple of weeks. Restarting the app usually helps, at least for me.

Nah, it's not that. Sometimes I'm listening to a 1 hour 1/2 album while cycling, and 25 minutes in, the music stops. I pull out my cellphone, the video looks like I've just stopped it myself, and when I try to restart it, it says there's an error message in the notifications.

And restarting the app does nothing. Nor does clearing the cache.

Network error happening, google changed something. Have to wait for Update.

You can download videos by long holding on the video, then select share. Use it in conjunction with seal or ytdlnis to download using yt-dlp. Good workaround until newpipe devs find yet another way to circumvent Google's shenanigans.

Excellent! Thank you.

Have had to flush cache regularly since the last outage, and restart the app a few times after clearing the cache, but worked as of a few hours ago.

Edit: broken.

I'll keep trying that, as well. I haven't had any luck in the last 90(?) minutes. I'm also using Brave as a workaround, so I'm not terribly upset.

I think that something just changed on the Tubez. I suddenly couldn't download with Downie.app on Mac. Checked for an update and there was one relating to YT. Installed and the app works again. NP likely needs to be updated for the same reason.

Yep, I getting the same issue here, :(
