Last time this was posted, it was proven that the original post is satire. She posts random jokes on her insta, that tweet just took a screenshot and made a rage bait.

It does look like the aluminum foil you can get at the Costco food court, and this does look like Costco. Makes for a free Faraday Cage for your phone tho.

[–] Ioughttamow@kbin.run 48 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Had her soul stolen by a camera though smh

[–] Sabata11792@ani.social 1 points 3 months ago

She forgot the aluminum chest plate?

[–] solarvector@lemmy.zip 40 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Why not just line a baseball cap or wizard hat or something? Foil is pretty delicate by itself anyway.

[–] Track_Shovel 29 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I put on my wizard hat and my robe...

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Calm down there, bloodninja. That's not BritneySpears14.

[–] UlfKirsten@feddit.de 3 points 3 months ago

I cast lvl 3 eroticism

[–] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 27 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

Because it's not about blocking mind control. It's about showing others that you know "more" than they do.

[–] shani66@ani.social 4 points 3 months ago

I'd imagine the wizard hat does that much better though, he could know Spawn Calling or some shit.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

It’s not about the utility of it (which is literally zero), it’s about making the statement.

Me when I use Free and Open Source Software.

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 26 points 3 months ago (1 children)

How people see me when I say I don't use whatsapp, instagram, facebook, twitter or google.

[–] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 5 points 3 months ago

Or reddit, snapchat, apple

[–] cynar@lemmy.world 28 points 3 months ago (2 children)

There's a paper published somewhere on the effectiveness of tin foil hats. It turned out that "traditional" designs actually acted to focus RF energy onto the brain.

It's been years since I saw the paper, unfortunately, so I don't have a link to hand.

The open end of this hat makes it a resonator not a faraday cage. She needs a full suit to keep out em waves. This is more akin to bird plumage that puts her particular brand of crazy on full display.

[–] match@pawb.social 9 points 3 months ago

big business replaced our pure and effective tinfoil with aluminum to stop us from protecting our brains

Mind waves specifically designed for adults of course

Like COVID can't get past borders

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 14 points 3 months ago

5G was designed for adults; kids only get like 2G so they only receive SMS or, if fortunate MMS with some cool tunes.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 18 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Okay the foil hat I get, but what's with that ugly yellow getup?

[–] massive_bereavement@fedia.io 26 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

Tunic of Homeschooling ARMOR SET Required level: 12 +2 elemental casting +5 mana regeneration -5 charisma

[–] Button777777@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I'd like to roll a sleight of hand check and attempt to steal the tunic.

[Rolls a 6]

[–] Ioughttamow@kbin.run 6 points 3 months ago

Perception check dc +1 environmental - Costco, +1 for each kid (+2 if free roaming)

[–] evidences@lemmy.world 13 points 3 months ago

It's from the Dwight Shrute summer collection. The fabric is made from woven beet fibers then dyed mustard yellow.

It happens 🤷

[–] qarbone@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I agree clothes-shaming is more than a little weird but that shade of yellow is not her color. At least according the tones in this photo. I'd tell her to go for something more pastel if she's horny for yellow.

[–] 5714@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 months ago

Hm. Agree to disagree. Pastel would not be that visible, but maybe I just have a weird taste.

[–] kinsnik@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Doesn’t the POV imply that the person who isn’t mind controlled is the camera? So the aluminum foil-hat crazy IS BEING MIND CONTROLLED!!

[–] GiveOver@feddit.uk 4 points 3 months ago (1 children)

POV doesn't have a meaning, it's just one of those artifacts that's been around for so long that we've lost the knowledge. One day we may discover its meaning but for now it's like the pyramids or those memes that start with "Nobody:"

[–] Iapar@feddit.org 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Point of view? Is this a joke?

[–] GiveOver@feddit.uk 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

What's point of view about this video? I don't think I buy this suggestion

[–] Iapar@feddit.org 2 points 3 months ago

You wrote POV has no meaning. But it stands for point-of-view.

I was asking if it was a joke that you wrote that it has no meaning.

That said the joke of OP doesn't work because it is not a POV.

Charles McGill would scoff that she thinks this is enough to really protect her from electromagnetism.

[–] LesserAbe@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

Well there EMF sensitivity and there's mind control. Two separate threat models
