My god I’m so out of touch.
I've just embraced it and will shamelessly look it up like the old person I've become.
I think I’m going to start doing that. Might give me something to do on the days when the adderall is kicking my ass and I need a distraction. Just deep-dive all of the urban slang that exists.
That seems a little extreme. You don't have to look up all slang, just looke things up as needed

It's a variation of "I swear to God", which is ironic because Jesus said not to do that.
You probably just didn't grow up in the hood. I'm middle aged and knew exactly what it was, because I heard it all the time growing up.
