I finally had time to read this, and god dang was it cool. 100% agree that would make for a fantastic game! And now that you mention it, I'm kinda surprised there aren't more indie anarchist games. The only game I can think of that even explored socialist concepts was Disco Elysium, but I really bounced off that one, to my dismay.

I did the cliff-notes / lets play streaming version of Disco Elysium. It looks really beautiful, but not my kind of game style. I've had a couple of gamer friends suggest it to me because they know my politics. But I get the impression that it's written for people without a strong foundation in political theory -- you develop your relationships with characters and their politics and the implications of those politics are revealed as you get closer to solving the murder.

It's a great way to introduce someone to leftist discourse through gaming, but I don't think I'd get much from it as an anarchist already eyeballs deep in theory.

A game that fits my play style is Bionic Commando, where you zip around military installations with a grappling hook and a gun, shooting nazis and collecting powerups until you make zombie Hitler's head explode with a bazooka. Then you save your POW comrade and escape on a helicopter. I'm not a very sophisticated gamer.

I ended up watching a playthrough too, once I got a little too bored with the police-procedural aspect. I'm glad it's as popular as it is though, since as you say, it's a good way to spread those ideas. Games have really been under utilized in that regard.

If you like shooting nazis, then I would highly recommend checking out Wolfenstein: The New Order if you haven't played it already. The depth that game had was a real shocker for me. Surprisingly competent little story combined with some fantastic shooting mechanics and even some optional stealth tactics. I played it shortly after watching the first season of Man in The High Castle, which ended up being the perfect pairing 😄

I've seen some lets play, and I would definitely jam with B.J. Blazkowicz if I had a modern console or gaming PC. I'm a sucker for alt history stuff, and the characters are so cool.
