After joining Lemmy I have been wishig on a feed of content from self hosted blogs, to display in a feed similar to Lemmy. Where we ca. Subscribe to Themes, hashtags or topics and link to self hosted blog posts or simply self hosted videos, images etc. I may be rambling or dreaming of something that really wouldn't work but I kind of miss the Instagram kind of feed. Lemmy had effectively replaced Reddit for me but I still lack a more visual social media like IG

An RSS feed for blogs that don't implement ActivityPub?

I don't know what that means but I imagined an RSS feed with posts from sites that I don't yet know but where the posts get grouped or served in groups or categories that interest me. It doesn't even need to limit to sites or blogs. Could as well just be self hosted images or videos served on an RSS feed, and sorted into some kind of category/group/topic

Every poster can have their own content on their own server or even a webhotel running even WordPress but it gets listed and served on a unified platform like lemmy

The way you describe it could be something like Mastodon or Misskey where people post articles. Both of those platforms are using ActivityPub too
