Communities up for adoption (self.meta)

Our instance has been around for a while now and had its ups and downs. As a result there are some communities for which the original creators and mods are not active participants anymore.

This is especially true for those moderated solely by @ex_06 who originally started this site but handed it over to me about six months ago due to changed life priorities.

There are also a lot of communities only moderated by me, and as the current sole site admin I would like to distribute the moderation efforts a bit more.

It is not strictly necessary to have an account on slrpnk.net to become a community moderator, as Lemmy supports federated moderation. Thus if you are joining us from an remote instance feel free to apply as well.

So if any of those communities are especially interesting to you, please make a short introduction post in them and I can transfer moderation rights to you. Thanks!

This is an annoying Lemmy UI bug where you can't remove mods from communities they have created but never posted in. I'll probably remove @ex_06 moderation roles manually from the database at some point if this doesn't get fixed in Lemmy first (apparently not so easy to fix though).
