Context for the 2nd bullet point is that he claimed he "wasn't close to 80" when he's 78 and he said "Energy is so big. It's so like amorphous. It's all over the place. If you make donuts, it's a stove"

He doesn’t look good. Had someone in Cardiology yesterday, out of nowhere, shoot a frown at me and whisper, what do you think about the way trump is looking?

Like if you lifted his pants legs, my 7 is there’s bilateral pitting edema under there. Kind of like watching Nimoy in those final roles, seeing the COPD across that barrel chest, and wondering how far out of frame the oxygen tank actually is. It’s morbid to some, I’m sure, and that’s fair, but I am worried.

I’m convinced that the makeup is the same, he’s just become that much paler beneath the makeup.

but I am worried.

About what? An open and unashamed fascist dying in old age??

Oh, no, the unimaginable tragedy!!!11 🙄

[–] rockerface@lemm.ee 25 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I would be worried about a more competent and less blatant fascist taking his place

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago

That's a definite worry, but there is no one that could replace him that I can tell, right now. He is a complete fascist, evil bastard, but he knows how to charm his people. The other fascists that currently have power don't know how (thankfully).

A couch fucker too

At base I’m not happy about anyone’s medical misfortunes, self inflicted or otherwise.

You could also read it as his health is worrisome. You could also read it as his base’s reaction would be worrisome.

Don’t assume puppies and rainbows. Remember Scalia.

Trump dying now would be an unthinkable tragedy. He would forever be a martyr and we would never be rid of MAGA. FFS, there would be Trump statues everywhere. Oh, and think about all the conspiracies involving liberals killing him.

He has to live through this election and lose ignominiously. Then he has my permission to die.

my 7 is there’s

Is this a phrase I should know or a typo?

[–] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 12 points 1 month ago (2 children)

I think they were trying to hit a predicted word (likely "bet") above the "7" on their keyboard.

[–] TheFriar@lemm.ee 4 points 1 month ago (3 children)

Woah. Do people actually use the predictive text suggestions when typing?

[–] ThePantser@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

I do if it's the right work, or I've misspelled it, it's easier to hit that than edit.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Yes I do but I'm going back in to work tomorrow morning so I'm not going for it until tomorrow and then I can get the joke

*Brought to you by predictive text, starting with yes.

[–] zephorah@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

No. I talk with that phrase, refer to the 7 of a situation.

[–] zephorah@lemm.ee 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Roll dice and place a bet. Highest probability roll is what?

[–] Default_Defect@midwest.social 4 points 1 month ago

I understand now, but this is the first and only time I've ever heard it. I wouldn't expect most people to catch your meaning.

What's in the box?
