I had a couple Windows Mobile/Pocket PCs. They were flawed, yet awesome in their own way. Early Android was clearly better, but sadly it's become a locked down spy fest. I'd love a new real "Pocket PC".

The layout is 100% the reason I didn't like my F AT until I modded it. My F XT has a better layout, but it was always such a chore trying to get my home made Soarer's converter to work right. The F77 layout is great, and thanks to the preproductions it's actually attainable. I also got one of the new TKL layout Model Fs, but it only came in the "compact" case style (which makes sense as they was no original), and it just isn't as nice to use as the OG style zinc case.

I'd get one of the beamsprings as well, but they are just so ridiculously thick and bulky that I don't think it would work for me.

Sadly this is true, my parents are living this in their condo right now.

No, I have two of the reproductions and they are great IMO. I heavily prefer them over any of my Model Ms or OG Model Fs.

Both Unicomp and modelfkeyboards.com are highly recommended.

The Model Fs are far superior to the Model M. I own several original and reproductions, though I don't own the F60 "Kishsaver" as I like having my nav cluster.

I'm always impressed by people using these incredibly small keyboards. I've never been able to get accustomed to using anything lower than 68% for a daily driver.

Even in the unlikely event that Elon did get a colony going on Mars, he'd be like Cohaagen from Total Recall, but worse.

I am aware, but Google is the one making this available and it 100% benefits them for developers to use it.

Android Auto is in the only reason I'm not using a de-googled rom. It makes me wonder if Android Auto works fine with no internet connection/SIM. Maybe I could just keep a disconnected "beater" phone for my music and predownload maps with Organic Maps.
