And you fail to see the problem. When the French powers game the system for their own selfish needs, why even join? It reminds way to much about how the US does politics and probably proves once more that giant federations are inherently problematic due to centralisation of power.

Other giant federations; the US, China, Russia.

"But the EU is not a federation, it's an union".

That line loses meaning by each passing year. So yeah, me and my family will still be against joining the EU. It's just way to big of a risk.

I was referring to tankies and anarchists on Matrix - not as a major qualifier. Libre is important, but saying that integrating payment systems and such into software or services as either immoral, unethical or predatory is disingenuous at best.

But you've proven one thing: you are definitely apart of that boys club, no matter your political leanings.

Btw, I'm a social democrat and I'm very pro-integrity and anti-predatory. But we're cutting off our left hand to spite out right, meaning we've created a sterile environment where there is no possibility for content creators or commercial developers to monetize without jumping through hoops.

There is something to be said about dark design patterns within UX, but the belligerent and stubborn disposition that all monetization is bad monetization is the folly of a one-track mind.

I would say *it's time to federate", but the path to monetization is nonexistent. Production value costs money and there should at least be a way to make that back. But as with open source software regarding monetization, federated platforms are overtly anti-monetization, demanding there be no ads, paid subscription or any integrated payment that is linked to the actual content (for analytics and tax purposes, which is key if you want to run it as a business).

The general consensus I seem to get from tankies and anarchists on Matrix and here on the fediverse is that they don't want anyone who makes any money to take part, thereby creating a "boys club" specifically catering to their whims.

A bit of an aside, I know, but I thought it should be said.

Every member has a veto right and it is more important for small members than big countries like France and Germany.

There should at least be a path to a more democratic vote, where each country gets a certain amount of votes to equalise each other out.

If they want to, they should join the EU and thus be bound by any treaties the EU signs.

So that France can stop our trade deals? No thanks. We'd rather pay for priveliges than do that. So we won't join, and the UK won't come back.

Simple as.

Nano gang, represent.

To be fair Russia is a terrorist state.

Because they most likely will do a great job of it, discrediting the politicians currently in power?

Perhaps they are so expensive because it's AM5. Like if AM6 is an overhaul to increase bandwidth and cut costs? That's a win. We have been blessed with how long they produce these sockets. It's a stark contrast to Intel.

But yeah, if there is little to no reason to go from AM5 to AM6 m, then I agree.

Heck, why not make it official? 90% of the world has.

Then you are far above the threshold, because Ubuntu desktop and Fedora desktop are easy and widely supported by hardware nowadays. No tinkering necessary.

It's probably an infinitesimally small number compared to how many have pirated the game worldwide.

TOTK is probably the biggest PC game in Brazil for 2023.
