I'll ask provider

[–] someoneFromInternet@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 month ago (7 children)

it looks like provider is not rate limiting:

Devuan - it's like debian, but without systemd.

I want to host some engine, but don't know which. I know about searxng and 4get, for example, but I know that there are a lot of other search engines. Here is question: how to pick one and by what criteria?

I found this netbook(?) somewhere in old things and just wonder: can linux be installed on it?

Hello. My friend and I have some problem with decryption messages. Sometimes we receive "Message was encrypted with OMEMO but could not be decrypted" instead of the message itself. What could this problem be related to?

I see the matrix is more popular than xmpp, but why?

For some reason I can't log in to my xmpp server from any account other than my admin account. The client says that registration is only through invitation.

Preferably in a cheap or average price segment. thanks.

You may have noticed a few of my posts here, I am very interested in self-hosting and what advice can you give to a newbie? maybe some literature, video, I don’t know~

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to set up a Mumble voice chat server on my home network using a Debian server. As part of the setup process, I need to obtain an SSL certificate from Let's Encrypt for secure HTTPS access to the server. However, I'm encountering an error when running the Certbot client to request the certificate.

Here's the command I'm running:

sudo certbot certonly -d mydomain.com

But I get the following error message:

Timeout during connect (likely firewall problem)

I've checked my firewall rules and confirmed that I've opened port 80 as required for the Let's Encrypt verification process. Here's the relevant rule in my ufw configuration:

80/tcp ALLOW Anywhere

Despite this, I'm still getting the timeout error. Has anyone else encountered this issue before? What steps should I take to troubleshoot further?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have Tecno Spark 10 Pro and would like to install lineageOS or other degoogled firmware, but how can I do this if my phone is not in the list of supported ones?

I have a question about the userdata size item. I set it to 5GB, as I saw in one of the videos. However, I discovered that 16GB in total is available. So what does this affect? Is it possible to use this system fully? That is, does it have any restrictions? And what if I want to reflash it again, or delete this firmware? Is it possible to place several at once? And how many?

I looking for app scaning photo and convert it in text.

I want to share a picture or GIF with my friend on Telegram, but I don't want to do it directly. What can I use?
