In your settings, you can set your preferred languages - since you're on lemmy.world this link should take you there. You can hold control down to select multiple options if you're on desktop (and mobile should have a selection box pop up).

Though be sure to keep "undetermined" enabled, otherwise a lot of stuff will vanish. Also note that this only works for posts/comments where people have actually selected the correct language (if someone posts something in German, but marks it as English for example, it will still pop up).

vulkangears

I know that the vulcan-tools package has vkcube in it. Someone did make vulkangears as an example, along with some other examples, but I don't think its a published package in any distro repos so it'd need to be manually compiled to run it.

Yes, I'm pretty sure its just because if you hit enter on that screen, it assumes and selects the Play Online button.

Play Online is actually a relatively newish feature as far as I understand. Multiplayer only came around earlier this year, before then your save was only offline.

Definitely could recommend NixOS here as well, it checks off a lot of the boxes that OP has mentioned. Installing Cinnamon would be as easy as enabling the option for it in your configuration.nix.

Nix/NixOS is definitely something that you need to be willing to put a little time into depending on what you're planning on running (just getting a desktop up and running is simple, and something that installer will easily do for you though) and the documentation is definitely... confusing at times, but there is a pretty large community that is happy to answer questions you run into along the way.

The Nix communit(y|ies) on Lemmy isn't super active from what I can tell, most of the Nix community is on their forums and Matrix space.

What are your language settings set to in your Lemmy profile? I know if you deselect Undetermined, it will cause this.

That also being said, most of the comments here are tagged as English, and the comment in your screenshot doesn't seem like it was tagged as such - weird question, but do you by chance have English deselected?

When I view this post from the feddit.uk instance, I can see all the comments so I don't think it's a sync issue, unless they're all appearing for you now.

It certainly has been for me. Picked it up a couple of weeks into Diablo 4's first season launch, after remembering that I had heard some folks on Lemmy talking about it during D4's open-beta.

Zero regrets on picking it up, feels like I'm actually having fun along the way whereas in Diablo 4 I kept wondering where the fun was at (and that said "fun" was always just a few paragon points away so I could unlock a node that would end up being inconsequential).

I've primarily played mage (and it actually feels like a mage unlike D4's so called sorcerer class...) so while I can't personally speak on the other classes, a friend of mine has done a lot of experimenting with the other classes and they have nothing to say but good things about the various classes.

It is worth noting that Last Epoch is still technically in beta, and does have some bugs every now and then. But they are targeting their 1.0 release before the end of this year. I'm not normally one who picks up early access games, this one certainly is a nice exception though.

Seems like discussion of the version numbers is getting mixed up then. I just logged out of Liftoff and logged back in with zero issues on my instance running 0.18.5.

As you can see in the GitHub link I posted in my previous comment, there's only one major commit difference between 0.18.4 and .5, which fixes deletions not propagating correctly through Federation when an admin deletes a post who wasn't a mod of the community (but still an admin of the community's main instance) in question.

What is the bitrate for the "High" (Not HiFi/FLAC) quality version? I had heard it was 320, so the same as Spotify. Unfortunately when I tried Tidal a couple of weeks ago, most of the music I listen to only goes up to "High".

Though not that I have top of the line headphones to make a difference anyways, I'm sure.

Not sure where the information about 0.18.5 having breaking changes came from. The 0.18.5 release is just the federated deletion fix that was cherry-picked in.

0.19 will definitely have breaking changes though, yes. In the admin matrix group there were quite a few people talking about accidentally leaving their instances on the latest docker tag which includes all of those breaking changes and no way to downgrade due to the DB structure changes. Maybe you're hearing about it from them?

I updated my instance to 0.18.5 yesterday and have no problems with any of the apps. Re-logged into Thunder and can see my communities just fine.

Ah I don't know how I forgot about Pop! Pop was actually the first distro I used that had systemd-boot OOTB, and I've loved it since then.

Haven't been on Pop for a while, but I'm definitely looking forward to giving it another go once the new Cosmic desktop is finished!

I concur with this. Glad to see that Tumbleweed is offering it OOTB now, as I believe the only two choices prior to this (if you wanted it setup out of the box) was Arch and NixOS.

Edit: As pointed out below, Pop_OS! also supports systemd-boot OOTB, not sure how I forgot about it as that was my first exposure to systemd-boot.
