Interesting. I'm usually wired in the morning, crash late afternoon/evening, and then get wired again at around 11pm.

Straterra didn't do shit other than make my libido nonexistent. Ritalin has worked well for me. I know people who felt like they were in hell while on Ritalin. A lot of it is trial and error since all bodies process them differently.

I will say, there are genetic tests you can take to see which medications are tolerated well by your body. I took one and surprise surprise, I had the markers for straterra not being well tolerated. Also if you have other family members who have ADHD and are on medication it's a good idea to ask them since your genetics will be somewhat similar.

Won't somebody help the poor poor shareholders crying in their yachts?

That's insane that they have so much power to begin with

[–] countrypunk 4 points 3 months ago

Yup. I've had the same issue with invidious. Hope it'll get fixed soon. Freetube works for now.

I've been using screwdrivers not drill bits. It's a 4mm screw

[–] countrypunk 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It is filled with glue but I put it in after I stripped it to help with traction but it didn't help

Interestingly enough I tried whatismyip on both my main and secondary profile and they both showed the same IP and location

Not being careful is what got me into this whole mess 😅

[–] countrypunk 11 points 3 months ago (6 children)

I will try that. Thanks.

I have used flatheads of various sizes and it wouldn't budge, unfortunately. I don't know how to cut metal.

All of the other six screws were easy but this particular one was very stubborn. It is indeed still full of hot glue.

I haven't got a rotary tool or the proper drill bits. Rotary tool is a no since it's a laptop and I don't wanna damage it, but I will get some of those drill bits if the screw extractor doesn't work. Hoping not to have to take it to a technician

“Today, far from Druidry seeming like some arcane fringe activity, its preoccupations are now centre-stage. They address the most urgent and important issue of our time: how we galvanize all of our potential – practical, creative, intellectual, and spiritual – to protect and restore the Earth.

They address directly the gaze of Greta Thunberg and her generation – our children and grand-children – to say: we are committed to our love of Nature to the fullest extent, with all of our being – all looking towards the same horizon: a world in which every human being has enough to lead a happy, healthy and fulfilling life without suffering injustice, without terrible inequalities between rich and poor, without the destruction of habitats and species, without the pollution of our skies and seas.” Philip Carr-Gomm

Druidry appeals in particular to people who have become disenchanted with much of conventional religious practice, and who are seeking a sense of spiritual connection with the land, and with their ancestors. In today’s fast-moving and environmentally-threatened world, they are looking for a sense of rootedness in Time and in Place, and for a sense of reverence for the Earth."

I'm thinking about making a druidism ~~instance~~ community to discuss the practice and share stories and the likes. I'm not strictly opposed to it being a more general nature spirituality instance, depends on what y'all are thinking.

Anybody interested in joining and/or modding one?

Edit: I meant a community, not an instance. Got my Lemmy vocabulary mixed up. My apologies.

Edit 2: The community has been made. Go to !nature_spirituality

Boneset is a pretty common "weed" in the eastern US. It's easy to find in wet, disturbed habitats.

Uses:

-Fever

-Anti inflammation

-Colds

Do NOT consume in large amounts. It has mild liver toxicity and thus should just be used when needed.

This can be the way things are taught, who are the teachers, what a school day would look like, where classes are taught, what things what look like, etc.

I use Fish Emulsion Fertilizer a lot in my own garden. It's organic, and most importantly WORKS. You typically use it for plants bearing fruit (such as tomatoes, watermelon, squash) and not leafy vegetables (spinach, Swiss Chard, etc). It makes the fruits a lot tastier from my experience. I typically buy it from my local farmer's CO-OP, but it's not an uncommon find elsewhere.

Here's a helpful guide on using it: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/soil-fertilizers/using-fish-emulsion.htm

This is a good introductory article for Solarpunk. If someone asks you "What is Solarpunk?" this is a good place to start.

Solarpunk Spirituality (self.solarpunk)

I've been thinking about Solarpunk spiritualities/philosophies. Not gonna use the word religion here to avoid the negative connotations of that.

I've been practicing druidism way before I ever discovered solarpunk, and I feel like the two are very compatible with each other. Love of nature, do no harm to others, fluid and evolving, open to interpretation.

Any other ideas about already existing spiritual philosophies that are compatible with solarpunk?
